Same. It sucked so much with the whole RedAfrica fiasco where everyone seemed to get an account except me. But now at last you guys have good prices again that's available to everyone. I'll be moving my line over to you guys as well. Now to hope that Telkom doesn't screw up the whole Do cancellation. I think I'll e-mail you guys about the whole line move procedure before I do it.

Have to say I agree (I know that is selfish of me). Guess I was hoping for too much. Anyway good luck to WA on these new options - hope they work well for you

@WAJeff - are you going to look at extending DL+ hours to the off peak hours at all? Did you consider this at all maybe is the better question as you say in a previous post they still apply
 
@Solitude: You don't need to cancel your line, only your data packages from your previous ISP. The ADSL line will need to be transferred rather, no downtime this way.

@Fulton: We can look at extending Download Plus hours at a later stage, I know it's something that has been and is being considered, but there's no concrete information at this stage.
 
People are overlooking a very important detail here:

Comparing cheap IS accounts to WA Silver.
WA's simply a much more stable, reliable and faster account - and now going for as cheap as the dirty Seacom accounts out there.

(I have a backup Afrihost account and Silver Titan WA to compare it too.)

Just look at the Mweb thread how many are jumping ship because of serious service degradation over the last months.. I'm extremely happy WA isn't getting their hands dirty with uncapped and sticking to a good product at an even cheaper rate now.

Why anyone would use an IS account now over a WA one at home boggles my mind.

*sigh* Far from uncapped (not a bad thing), and not such a huge change from their previous package...a bit behind the times in my opinion. Sorry to say I'm underwhelmed.
I'm with WA, and the only thing keeping me there is that my line is with them and I'm too lazy to go through the paces to change it.
I dunno man, I'm just disappointed, I expected more.
 
I can see value in this offering but WA why don't you let us custom build what we want. For example 3 gigs anytime 50 gigs after hours... Lets us custom build and I am sure you will pick up more customers.

You can already do that :)
Grab either the 2GB or 5GB package and put 50GB's (or even 200GB's of D+) to the account. Custom built DSL.
 
I for one am glad that Web Africa are not going uncapped. I have an uncapped account with Mweb and I have tried openweb and all the others so called unshaped services) I still get better service on the capped Web Africa account. I think for people who are cosntantly downloading torrents 24/7 this won't be for them but for my international gaming this is perfect (got to work during the day anyway) /he says while typing this at work :D

I didn't mean d+ I meant off peak data. So I choose how much peak / off peak / d+ I want.

OK, I added the service at WebAfrica. I thought I was adding it for next month but it's already there and paid for but that's alright. I will go to the Telkom shop this Saturday to get the Do level 3 cancelled. I don't trust to do it over the phone since I'm very worried that they'll cancel the line part too, since it's a bundle.

Do you already have a DSL line with Telkom?
If so, don't cancel it - rather transfer the line to WA. You'll just need to cancel your data.

Would it be possible to add the PRO subscription to a existing Redafrica package or any package other than the Home account packages? I tried to ask live chat sales but could not get through to anyone there.

Unfortunately you can't add Home Pro to the Red Africa accounts.

WAJeff, how do I get to the R39/GB option?

I went to the TopUp screen in the Services page. There if I select 1 GB then it's R59 if Roll Over is enabled and R49 without.

What DSL account to you have?
Drop me a PM with your client code and I'll double check things for you :)
 
Just to clarify that WAJeff: It's R39/GB for Top Up and R49/GB for Roll Over. The R49 one doesn't expire.The R39 one does :)
