First time in months I have been able to enjoy watching Youtube vids at 720= or 1080p with no buffering issues.

I am seriously considering going for the 20MB VDSL line now. Will send a PM to WA Helper.
 
I signed up with WA today. Speeds were great in the morning but since I've returned from work I get this on 2 meg uncapped:

While on an Afrihost 1 gig free account:

Any suggestions? What's the most efficient support channel?

best is to email support :)

with a tracert/that speedtests
and tell them what happend

they will short you out :)

what does the wa free 2gb give you?
do a test with that one also when u email support

Hi there guys! When is the last day of the month you can request to cancel your subscription with webafrica?

I have no complaints, but I just get more anytime data with Afrihost for the same money.

You do know that their double data promo is ending this month right?

The only way to keep double data is to pay for Afrihost Plus.
 
u guys also had a slower speed last night?,not that slow,but slower than normal

also,my pc crashed lastnight
wanted to move the metro apps install location didnt work,dint work to set it back
did a system restore,now blue screen of death

That's what happens when you install windows 8 and don't at least use Start8.
 
its 8.1 worked nice,but sucks u cant move the apps to hardrive :/
got s 120gb ssd so its kinda small

also 8.1's not that bad :)

the metro,kinda like it,just the all programs menu that sucks
 
ok I have a question that had taken your support waaaaay to long to answer:

Can I get the 2mb business uncapped account on my 4 meg line without me being charged for 4mb like CW

and

is pings on gaming always low like on your capped accounts?
 
keep your line with telkom (4mb)
and just get the data from WA (2mb)

ping wont be a prob,business account are on the save level home cap,so just grab a 2gb test account

I only have 4meg line because a certain business application that links remotely does not work on our 2meg line... I am unsure why but we are upgrading our 2nd account to 4meg and downgrading this line to 2meg end of month.

Only thing I need to confirm from webafrica is that they won't have an issue with their 2mb account running on my 4mb line like crystalweb...
 
with who's are your line atm?

i had a 20mb home uncap on my 10mb line,havent had a prob

u will just get less overheads,and may drop in levels as u can use alot more data faster,than when u use a 2mb on a 2mb line
but business thresholds are high,and only if u use a ton of data ,like downloading alot in theday,so for normal business use,dont think it will be a prob,

chevron,or WAhelper/support team will know alot more

Just keep your line with telkom.

The data package you get from the ISP has nothing to do with your Telkom line.

It's only when you bundle the line and data together will you get issues.
 
50TB again this month!

just got upgraded bt Telkom from 6mb to 10mb yesterday AT LAST!

when i called them yesterday i was told that 6mb is the best possible speed in my area and i can't go further.

i have been on 6mb for over a year, imagine my surprise when i woke up this morning to monitor downloads and i was cruising
at 1070 kbps!

Hi, Would just like to know how you guys find gaming especially on XBL on capped accounts? Also I see Web Africa have changed their packages, no more X amount during the day and X amount during the night, so does this mean that the X amount I sign up for will be used from the total amount between 7am-11:59pm?

yup thats right,like 60gb package 60gb from 6:00to24:00 rest will be "uncaped" 24:00 to 6:00

also i dont have a prob with xbl
play gta5 online,works nice :)no lag at all

edit:

get the free 2gb,and test it out :) see if it works for u
