Web Africa ADSL general feedback

I have no problems gaming on my PS4,
I just wish the console had a download scheduler.

been so good the past few days
 
I'm on capped and all is well. I have heard that vox offers a good bolt on uncapped service. Which I am considering. Then I can use web Africa as backup.
 
So I am quite disappointed by the torrent performance at night. Midnight to 6pm. Had a few torrents queued. Only one finished. Checked avg download speed. 84kbps. This on a 4mbps line.

Potentially a result of this infinite midnight download promotion that they're running across all accounts (assuming it started already). Prior to it, I could max my line overnight.

The promotion only applies to capped accounts.

Yea, which would mean a lot more stress on the network at those hours since it's usually only us uncapped guys running their downloads then (to not impact the shaping rating).
 
speeds also been down the crapper fro me from yestarday (not just past 12)
business uncap hope its fixed to day...
 
Several isp's across several networks have the same speed issues for me now. Telkom did "maintenence" :whistle: only afrihost seemed unaffected till 30 mins ago and it all went to hell

so wont know how its now

hopefully they give all us 10mb guys a 20mb :D
wont mind that :D
 
Need a little assistance from the people using webafrica, I am looking at moving over to WA as my main ISP now but I am unsure which package to take, what are the major differences between the capped and uncapped business accounts besides the obvious. I use anywhere from 400 to 600gb a month depending on whats required that month.

Need to know your linespeed.

I take it you're on 10Meg?

Look. If you can schedule most of that for midnight, business will work great for you.

Web Africa's Home and Business uncapped accounts work on day time downloading thresholds. The more you download during the day, the more you get shaped. Downloads from 00:00 to 06:00 don't count.

On Business you should be able to get at least 250GBs done during the day before dropping a level though.
