Web Africa ADSL general feedback

How is it fair that Web Africa charges a full month of ADSL data for 3 hours? Signed up last night at 9pm and was charged for the MONTH of August and the MONTH of September in full (R399 x 2). Bam, R798 off my account first thing this morning. Fine, maybe I missed a thing about no pro-rata charges or something, but how is that even acceptable these days!! I feel used...

Opened another ticket. Getting disconnected more often now. Tried calling support line at +- 5:30pm, was on hold for 5 minutes then gave up.
 
Morning all would like to know if anyone in the Somerset West area (Helderberg Collage) has problems with ping from about 5pm till 10.30pm ? During the day till 5pm we get a nice 20ms to 30ms for the CSGO servers but hit 5pm solid 100ms ?? is this ISP related or telkom related. I hope webafrica guy could pm me and we can hopefully try check it from the ISP side thx.
 
WebAfrica Helper: Will WebAfrica be offering an 8mbps ADSL product? If so, will it be happening soon? If not, why not?
 
Local gaming and twitch streaming has been ok for me. Havent had the chance to test an international game yet. No news from WA yet?
 
My internet connection is dead same thing happened yesterday what's going on! Waiting on the phone for support but no go. I'm in cape town

Hi Dames,

There's no prorata on our capped packages because you get the full data upfront, however, we can make an exception in this case. Please PM me your account details and I'll motivate credits for you.

Hi,

Yes, we will be launching a 8Mbps service, but the Product team is waiting for the offer to be signed off, therefore, we will be puting this information on our site very soon. In the interim, the 8Mbps line is R350 pm.

Must say, support on this forum from Webafrica is just shocking...really bad. Whats the point of having a forum here to assist people when no assistance is given...

Either phone them or log a ticket. The rep is usually here every day but not always.
