Web Africa ADSL general feedback

And once again, WA fails dismally.

Getting 25% of my line speed on a BUSINESS CAPPED account. On a frikkin Saturday.

FFS!

Have you at least submitted your cancellation? Crystal Web, Afrihost and Vox have very happy customers.

Yes.

Going to CW end of the month. As this account is used for business at three locations I wanted them to stabilise first before switching. Seems this is the month we're switching.

Ditto, I cancelled with WA and resumed my services with Afrihost, and took out ADSL from CrystalWeb, incredibly happy with these two companies. WA is just downhill these days.

Sunday evening and I'm getting 50% of line speed on a BUSINESS CAPPED account.

Pathetic.

WebAfrica is the new OpenWeb.

Thank god I'm leaving these loser ISP's (incl Afrihost before the new network and their lies).

Tomorrow (22/12/15) makes it two weeks of no internet.
Countless calls to their "support centre" who insist that it's been escalated (multiple times) - and nothing.
I even had Telkom come out to my place and confirm a fault that I then expected WebAfrica to liaise with Telkom and manage since I pay them to manage my line - and NOTHING!
Sent a PM to WebAfrica Helper - got a phone call promising escalation and... NOTHING!!!!!

Thank you WebAfrica - FOR NOTHING!!!!

Crystal Web operates on the same backbone as Webafrica, So it's much of a muchness really.

Hi,

Really sorry that you are frustrated, but Jason gave you a call this morning to let you know that there's cable theft in your area. Sadly, when it comes to cable theft we can't do much - apart - from pushing Telkom all the time up until they commit to a date of restoration.

Jason is waiting for more information from Telkom's network team and he'll update you as soon as they get back to him.

I thought so too but DJ explained that they define their account profiles themselves. So it's not the same.

Thanks for the reply - Jason called only after I'd called and unleashed on the call-centre and demanded management escalation.
That said, this update is more than than I've had in the last two weeks.

With this update, I recognise that it's out of WA's hands, however a little feedback goes a long way - it would be helpful (and would be great customer service) to proactively get updates without having to chase up with WA over and over again.

I absolutely agree with you! I have asked Jason and our guys to keep you in the loop and to chase this up with Telkom regularly.

Not even posting on HelloPeter can get WA to get their act together. Some guy contacted me and said he would be with me until my issue with Telkom is resolved. That was the one and only time WA contacted me. I still get constant disconnects on my line, and today I have major issues just browsing. I'm cancelling my WA account the end of this month.

I suspect it's your physical line. Ours has been doing it a few weeks every year. Every single time a line/exchange issue. We've been with many isps. Web Africa is the most dependable.

But all I get is the runaround between Telkom and WA. Telkom blames the equipment and ISP, and WA blames Telkom.

Hi,

That should definitely not be the case
Please PM me your customer code so we can get to the bottom of this for you

I agree with the first part, it's most likely a line issue. But, I disagree with the latter part
