Web Africa ADSL general feedback

The Telkom exchange basically doesn't have enough capacity for everyone connected to it. There's a thread on these forums about it somewhere. There isn't much you can do about it, just pray and hope Telkom will be upgrading the backhaul capacity to the exchange.

What I can not understand is that the capacity was increased 3 times (sorry it was from 60 to 200) a few months ago, so not sure how they can suddenly be at this point of not having capacity again. I know WA was in touch with Helkom and am sure this had a part to play in the upgrade

Browsing is terrible this morning - since yesterday afternoon for me in fact:

Come on WA - please can this be sorted.

Ticket from support - GUEST5K975803

Morning Fulton,

As the guys have said here, this is definitely an exchange/ DSLAM fault, this will affect your entire throughput.

Jeff, is the usage page working again?

As far as I'm aware, yes it is.
What issues are you experiencing?

Just to let everyone know, there are currently issues between MTN Business and SAIX peering points. This will affect some sites.

lol you're still lucky... i can barely open this forum. and i download at 5kb/s

Hhmm, bit weird :/
I've had a look at a few customers account, no problems there.

Drop me a PM with your client code, DSL username and ADSL telephone number you're using - I'll have a look at this for you quickly.

Any news Jeff? It's making it rather hard to plan our bandwidth usage as you can imagine ... (just checked now it's still had no data, incl the .xls files you can download).

You sure you've got the right account? According to your screenie your account was last updated with usage back in March. Mine shows today.

Feck. Thanks. For some reason it was going to my pre-paid account (which I never use) rather than the RedAfrica account. This is the same url I always use: https://dsl.webafrica.co.za/usage.html

So re-logged in and re-selected the RedAfrica account. Guess my cookies got messed up somehow.

I know our Dev's where looking at this.
Can you confirm it's resolved?

Interesting. What accounts are you guys on? My WoW seemed to have been working fine the whole weekend. My buddy is playing SW:TOR on the same line as me with perfect latency too.

not playing WOW. on Trackmania, keeps on timing out on maps and I get kicked out of servers. No problem with Telkom or Afrihost they both run smoothly.

**edit getting an 12002 error.. lol whatever that means.
