Is it local browsing that's slow or just in general?
Can you possibly post up a tracert, one to an international site and another to a local site.

I can't agree with you more.
Anyone have a suggestions on where I can spend R320pm on a reliable ISP?

Personally I like SAIX access, never had a problem and I"m on my pc logged in to servers remotely almost 16-18hr per day

Is it local browsing that's slow or just in general?
Can you possibly post up a tracert, one to an international site and another to a local site.

Thanks :)

Sorry to tell you but that's a congested exchange, not WA's fault. Look at the latency on the 2nd hop which is your exchange.

Sorry for my lack of technical terms - my DSLAM a few months ago was running at 80 ?? and the telkom upgraded to 200 ?. I know a few days ago they were not even running at 100.

Thanks for your feedback Grim. Anyway my line is with WA, so they will need to address this with Helkom

The Telkom exchange basically doesn't have enough capacity for everyone connected to it. There's a thread on these forums about it somewhere. There isn't much you can do about it, just pray and hope Telkom will be upgrading the backhaul capacity to the exchange.
