Web Africa ADSL general feedback

eish Jeff, things are still not 100%

We are on the 16th now and since the 29th or whatever when everything went belly up things have never been the same.
Things I used to be able to do.
Play WOW after 8pm with a 200 to 300ms ping, now it sits at 700/800
Watch justin.tv on my iphone/ipad, after about a minute my device says the stream is too crap and drops me to like 5fps and lowers my res.
I can't stream video properly, only every other video on youtube will actually come through okay, i suspect those are the ones on that local mirror thingy.

I'm running my line at 8MB, if I pull up 20 download threads I can maximize the line no problem but individual streams of data seem to hit like a 40kb cap.

Its becoming very annoying, my saix far out performs my WA account now.
I'm on the redafrica 30gig

Have you logged anything with support to have a look at?

I am really not happy with Web Africa's support. I sent in 3 support tickets yesterday afternoon at around 4 about problems we are facing with emails and nobody has yet come back to me on this yet. Note that this is not to do with the issues that Web Africa was facing yesterday morning.

The one problem seemed to have sorted itself out. But on the 13th, somebody sent us a mail and did not reach us. Yesterday this person receives a bounce back reporting 'retry timeout exceeded'. Both the domain and the email address is correct, but never reached us.

hi WAJeff - sterkte :), it's Friday so you have the next 2 days off. i'm just following up (i.e nagging) on my query from tuesday about the slow speeds. the same thing happened last night - i log on, the speeds soar to 97kB/s and then slow down immediately to 2 or 3 kB/s. we have 10gigs and have used just under 5 - is there any way we can check for ourselves to see if we're being shaped or throttled? or is that only viewable at WA. tks

Sorry guys,

Been in and out of meetings pretty much all day today!
@maumau: Onto your escalation, I believe that our DSL are still waiting for some feedback from Telkom. I'll see what I can do to speed up the process from my end :)

infact its even worse than that

No reported issues here from the times that you've posted. Have you contacted our Support guys by any chance just yet?
Everyone else running fine?
