Webafrica still useless for me at this moment. anyone else having issues still?

I think I have just come to accept that due to myBB special I am on a good deal, and have to live with general below par browsing experiences :( Very annoying but less stressful for me. DL's happen during DL+ hours, so that helps (but still have very variable experiences there). Still waiting for feedback on WA news server

Can't load or complete speedtest.net.

But in fairness I have a Mweb and Openweb uncapped test accounts and an Afrihost 1 GB free account and they're all the same.

I can now stream a show with Mweb and Openweb but not WA.

Edit: they're also buffering. I GIVE UP.

My WA account is crawling again today. Tried to download the latest Rectron pricelist and it took me several minutes for the 1.2MB. I then tried to get to www.speedtest.net to verify but it failed to load properly in 2 attempts. I was also unable to remote desktop to my home PC in two attempts. Switched over to the FNB account and www.speedtest.net loaded immediately -> 22ms ping, 5.04Mbps down, 0.5Mbps up...

FNB: http://www.speedtest.net/result/1887732242.png - 22ms ping, 5.04Mbps down, 0.5Mbps up
WebAfrica (attempt 3): http://www.speedtest.net/result/1887734167.png - 62ms ping, 5.15Mbps down, 0.48Mbps up - something is fishy

The higher ping on WA is cause your are routing from Gauteng to Cape Town to Midrand to Cape Town and back to Gauteng.

With the FNB account your are routed locally in Gauteng.

On that note, WA please can you setup a POP in Gauteng to lower our local latencies?

What's fishy about it? It looks normal? WA has blazing speeds to their local servers, but ~60-70ms pings to other local servers across the board.

What's fishy is that I was moments ago unable to open speedtest twice, and unable to connect remotely, and it took me over a minute to download a 1MB file. Moments later I am getting blazing speeds. I expect this type of behaviour from 3G not from ADSL.

I am not concerned about the 60ms ping vs 20ms ping. I am concerned about the fact that one moment I practically have zero Internet connectivity and the next moment blazing speeds.

Oh, that? You should have mentioned your previous post then :p
My WA is also like that at times, I've come to accept it (unwillingly but had to be done).

www.speedtest.net is still unable to load on my PC at home which is connected via WA. I managed to get in via remote desktop, but I am unable to download the file that I require due to the crummy speeds and I am not even able to load speedtest.net to show just how bad it is.

Maybe ask for a port reset? My WA account is able to load speedtest.net fine (delayed but it loads fine)

No, its not a port reset. Its intermittent issues on WA's side. I had the exact same issues on this ADSL line 20 minutes ago, when I was connected with WA here, that I now have on my home PC.

I am able to remote desktop to my home machine without any issues which means that some ports are fine, but others are totally farked. A port reset won't fix that and will probably just introduce more problems.

Guess I will have to reset my connection - so much for my 31 days 3 hours 24 minutes and 40 second uptime...

So the connection reset didn't help... Still stuck with the same issue.

I'm now connected with my Afrihost account. Speedtest.net immediately loaded and these are my results from home... http://www.speedtest.net/result/1887788174.png - keep in mind that I had a remote desktop session open which would have affected the results.
