Not because I have anything against WA, but because competition needs to be encouraged. I was very happy with WA, but the current prices just aren't in line with competitors. Their support might be wonderful, but I don't need support. I haven't had a single interaction with Afrihost since I signed up with them because the service just works. I don't really see the value in paying double for support.

Can anyone enlighten me? If you're a WA subscriber, please explain why - I don't get how people can stick with them. I might Change my mind once their steam content servers are up.

No thanks, the 20GB I topped up with at +/-R15 per GB from Afrohost this weekend shall suffice... :rolleyes:

I am now convinced myBB get a serious commission for putting this on the front page--other news worthy items gets relegated to the right margins "More News". Go figure!
 
Wow, pie in the FACE!!! Those prices are ridiculous.......this is the best one, Prepaid 1GB bandwidth came down with a WHOPPING R1

Come on WA, your better than this!!!!!

My thoughts exactly.

I'm paying 1/4 of WA's prepaid price with Afrihost. They could have zero telephone support at that price and as long as my account continues to work, I couldn't care less. I'm really stunned by these prices. Had we seen them this time last year we would have given them a golf clap and sent them on their way. With the market as it is now, this is laughable.

I'd even go so far as to call for a WA advertising ban here at MyBB to show just how p1ssed off we are at this ridiculousness ......
 
This is just stupid... There goes my great hope. Not happy... These prices are disgusting :) Rather keep blowing my cash on Screamer and Afrihost back up ;)
 
i knew it I knew it...these guys are a joke --so glad I moved most of my clients to another ISP.you are now becoming like the LET DOWN of the industry

It sounds like they are slowly but surly going to bring down the price every month...However this is just not good enough!

I get bandwidth for R22 a GB now and was seriously considering moving to web Africa but this is just SAD SAD SAD :mad:
 
Well, this just justifies my decision to leave them last year, and not wait for the "big announcement".

Nice conspiracy theory, but this is newsworthy. A lot of people have been waiting to see what WA would bring to the table. Just because it's a massive let down doesn't mean it shouldn't be on the front page.

I've been hoping WA would release new packages to compete with Afrihost for a while. I'd be annoyed if it wasn't reported on.
