When you look up the term 'broke' in the dictionary they should show you picture of frontpage - IMO it generates nasty code.
dreamweaver.
Dont discount a cms though - or for a small site even the new version of iWeb (part of the iLife 08 suite)
Yeah, amongst other things the new iWeb is reported to have better support for personal domains.Duh!
cms? I had a look at iWeb last night, just before my MBP died, but the flexibility seems to be lacking ... Maybe iWeb '08 needs a visit
Oh I absolutely agree there - funny codes I change via the text editing option if they interfere with my page setup else - else it works on IE at least and the majority of the website's audience is on IE.
Dude, how can you justify that if you're working on a Mac, for which IE isn't even available (since v.6 onwards)?
You k***ing me out on a 6 month old post??![]()
HAHAHAHA, I was expecting such a response![]()
Are you still using frontpage?Couldn't resist, no offense intended.![]()
*/Damn -
*/Ignores question.
Aahhh.. well, that took 3 days but I think I am getting the hang of the sef teaching now... DREAMWEAVER....
Have redone the site using templates instead of frames - what a bloody learning curve from Expression Web (FrontPage). But I think I have got the jist of it now.
Have managed to upload the site - cleaned off all my old pages with the FrontPage encoding and and and... I deserve a medal DAMN!! that was interesting.
Must still get to grips with STYLES though... am still relying on the older font tags.
You should really try to learn CSS. I took me a while but you can create some great websites with it and you can change the style of the entire site quickly and easily.
I bought a book but there are plently of free online tutorials...

I use Photoshop to create the design and export the CSS layout and then use Dreamweaver to clean it up and add content, I then use CSSEdit to edit the styles.
But please please please don't use Word!!!
