Web browser spell checkers not working

I use both Firefox and Chrome on my laptop at work and the spell check works perfectly out of the box, I didn't have to do a thing.

Now my home pc refuses to use spell check in any browser. I have fished around in the settings but can't find anything.

What must I do, this is super frustrating.

Both machines are running Windows 7.

Sometimes you have to right-click on a text field, and then select "Check Spelling", as it doesn't check spelling on all text input fields by default.

If people just concentrated more in English class they would not be totally reliant on the spell check and merely use it to correct the odd mistype!

Yeah but thats not really the way it is designed to work, it should spell check as you type.

I had the same problem a while back, try removing and reinstalling the dictionary.
tools> add-ons> extensions
