Web sQuad ISP - Feedback Thread #2

back online, fact that the CE froze up and didn't die meant that traffic didn't really move to the second device. We're looking into why this happened.
My least favourite thing about certain types of Failover-healthchecks
If "it's pingable it's alive" or "port is open it's alive" makes me sad, sometimes **** just really stops working exceptionally weirdly

Rather have something down than half up :)

Exactly. Doesn't account for a device that decides it's simply not doing what it's meant to do

yeah, international is cooked
noticed with twitch buffering but everything eu related is 260-300+ ping.

Also having issues, Discord, X defiant kicks me out and checking Battlefield now

Discord ping has stabilized to around 175ms
Battlefield works - ping to someone's local server is 3ms

All my lights are green and I got no internet (link layer fiber) , anyone else have no connectivity for the last hour maybe ?

@websquadza : think the authN onto the link layer network is not working

Evening all. KZN issue is resolved. Unfortunately a bit of a community leak from KZN caused some routes to propagate incorrectly through and out our network, and a small route loop too. We've isolated the affected device leaking the incorrect community (think of a community as a tag that tells our routers a little more about the routes they are working with).
