Web sQuad ISP - Feedback Thread #2

Just thought I would share, I have been contacted by Websquad via email and apparently the promotion for 1000/500 on Vuma Aerial for R1499 is no more and they wanted me to pay over 3k. I told them to downgrade me back to 1000/200. Was nice while it lasted. Disappointed it ended but I doubt I'll see much difference on 1000/200.

Unfortunately this was only a 12 month promo on Vumatel, with them reverting to full price after the promo. Had to downgrade my home too. Hopefully they review the 1000/500 pricing this year and align it closer to other FNOs and their own 1000/250 product.

It’s understandable that this doesn’t come from Web Squad, so I don’t hold you guys responsible for it, but agreed it is a pity. But it just doesn’t make sense to spend over 3k.

@websquadza heya, if you can push this ticket when you have a chance >> #513980
@websquadza hi, please, ongoing now for months. I know it's back and forth with NTT, but for the past week, I believe we're waiting for info from your team?
Hi There, apologies for my delayed response. I've been chatting to the team here. We are going to send a response to them a little later. We have confirmed on all 3 upstreams that NTT is not announcing that prefix in the EU, rather only in the US, then carrying the traffic back to the EU themselves. The return paths all look correct, and NTT is favouring the direct route back to us via the EU. Thanks for your patience on this one.

I think my order is in limbo, please help @websquadza
Order 7856207619

Also, another thing. The promo on the website says R949 for 250mbps but my order confirmation says R1099, i'm kinda confused

Thanks for your patience on this one. There's been a small backlog on Evotel installations and activations the past few days. Our team has been escalating all our orders. However I'll check on this in the morning and see how we can push this forward.

WRT to the promo, you had me confused there for a second. It seems Evotel published our 150 Mbps pricing (incorrectly copied as it's meant to be R969) and posted it as 250 Mbps, as there is an ongoing double up/step up promo. So your current 250 Mbps order will get you 500 Mbps. As of 1 March 2026, the double ups become permanent. Let me know if you would prefer a to stick with the 250 Mbps final speed, and I will get your original order amended to 150 Mbps (upgraded to 250 on delivery and permanently as of 1 March).

I think I mostly understand, so the below doesn't exist / is incorrect?

My apologies, I must have looked at the wrong SKUs on my side while confirming pricing. Yes, the promo is still valid and pricing will apply accordingly (R949 for the first 3 months, R1099 from month 4). There is also a double up promo currently ongoing. That said, Evotel's commercial changes still kick in on 1 March, and the double up (250 > 500 Mbps) becomes permanent.

Sweet, thanks for the clarification.
I'd like to keep the order on 250 Mbps (now 500 Mbps).
