Fibre is finally being rolled out in my area and I'm looking at signing up with Web sQuad in the next few weeks, what pings can I expect for international gaming, specifically Apex Legends.

Select the region that is nearest to you on the top tab and do a ping/tracert using the ip of a server you want to test.

Something go belly up with international?

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

Not the first time it's happened, but the longest it's lasted..

Cape Town Update: We picked up on our international transit edge router flapping bgp sessions this evening. We've taken it offline for now and re-routing traffic while we work on it. There will be a slight bump in latency while it is offline as transit is routed through JHB.

Edit: Further routing changes completed, international latency out of Cape Town back to normal levels.

I keep losing connection to Origin services the last ~week or so. Sometimes it's just the Origin client going offline and being unable to reconnect, but sometimes I get kicked out of games while playing Apex. I don't recall it ever being this bad. Any chance you could take a look at Origin specifically @websquadza and see if something's up?

You don't by any chance have IPs I can check? As far as I know, these are AWS hosted services; so shouldn't be any issues as we're peering directly to their network in CPT.

Just an FYI from my side, Origin has been having some issues recently especially yesterday - was very unstable yesterday, my friends tab was never updating and i had a few issues yesterday.

Their server performance has however been very bad in Apex, like beyond bad for EU, their NA/Brazil servers are fine. I have tried with VPN to EU as well and same results. I have not gotten any disconnects either, and from what i know CISP peers with Amazon directly as well so disconnects might be a FNO issue?

Possible, but would be weird, as I was with CISP way back and Afrihost for quite a few months before this, and never experienced the same disconnects.

I don't have IPs on hand, but the Origin client is pretty tiny, if you install it you could probably sniff out the IPs quicker than I could.

From what I see above, this was the same on @CrypticZA’s ISP? Unfortunately we can’t move AWS peering region to the EU just yet (and it's near impossible to filter out their local advertisements in SA), and I imagine prefering JHB will be worse given that it adds an additional leg of NLD and latency.

Still seeing the same disconnects? I can't even sign in to Origin (Just get errors) and tested on multiple networks. Don't think this is FNO or our network; more like a server issue.

Makes sense. I haven't had issues today ironically, but will keep an eye on it.
