Any known issues streaming Dstv, the last few days has been horrible??
Can't keep a stream going for more than 2 minutes, restarted like 15 times in space of 30 minutes

Yes on Cool Ideas and also having issues. Seems to be an Akamai issue rather than an ISP issue.

Here we go again!!
Seems to be a DSTv issue. Seeing complaints elsewhere and the ZANOG group lit up this weekend with other ISPs seeing the same.

Please flood DSTV with complaints (even if you use Now once in a blue moon). We’ll do the same to their NOC. But as long as they can distance themselves from under provisioned streaming resources or rubbish CDNs, they will continue to. It’s pathetic that a service which costs 5-6x more than netflix can operate with sub standard resources.

Just a reminder of how this traffic is delivered to all ISPs. ISPs peer with DSTV, Showmax (who now deliver some live SuperSport content it seems), Optinet (the preferred Akamai cache location) and and some with DiData (secondary route to caches). These peering links have ample capacity (Google, Steam, Microsoft, Netflix etc use these same paths). The only bottleneck is underprovisioned resources - be it on the 3rd party Akamai CDN or direct.

When is Websquad going to implement the Openserve upgrade of the 200/100Mbps package to 250/125Mbps?

another full reboot, and all the lights still yellow, but now working

Web Squad, when is the London pathing going to improve? I am still on 185ms to London in games and on Speedtest?

Middle East came back to normal for like one day yesterday, and now the ping is back to 230ms, any idea what's going on, don't really feel like using a VPN just to play games.

I think it's just really unstable atm and that's why they keep pulling the route.
It was down for almost 2 months, came back for a week and then went down again. After that, it's been up and down every single day up until today which really sucks :/
