Google peering sessions at NAP dropped. Seeing a number of ISPs commenting the same on the ZANOG group, seems to be a widespread Google issue. Traffic routing via alternate paths now

Seems it's my turn for Vuma issues :D

I bypassed the CPE and got a couple and some spare fibre to plug directly into the SFP port, lo and behold Vuma are having issues again...

Is this a Vumatel thing or are all fibre providers having this many issues? Do we have alternative options while remaining with the same ISP?

Should be back online again, seems it's related to loadshedding as usual....

Edited as it's not related to loadshedding...

Well back down and it's not load shedding...
These power issues in the area have been going for much longer than we're used to with Vuma. I'll ask the team to reach out to a SDM to see what the story is.

FCS is an interface error. Wondering if youre not seeing the same issue we've seen in parts of JHB with the sfp optics getting old and damaged. Drop me a PM with your details, will see if we can order a replacement for you. Getting Vuma to change these is a bit of a mission.

I'm not sure if there's overbuild in your area and a second FNO. We can get the team to check?

Awesome, I'll keep monitoring on my end will keep you updated, since this seems to be related to the ongoing ticket I have open around Vuma's issues.
