I have to agree.... Every weekend there seems to be some sort of internet problem lately, not sure what is going on but getting quite tired of this also

I have a 1gb line. I expect to be able to stream AT LEAST a 50gb RD file through Cyberflix, yet there are times I buffer with even a 1gb file and this is not the first time either.

@Websquad

NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

If I am going to have the same issues as I did with Cool Ideas then I’m jumping ship. And no, do not ask me for mtr’s, pings, traceroutes because I don’t have time for that and it shouldn’t be my problem.

And also don’t feed me the RD servers are rubbish and pass the blame solely onto them. I know they suck. But when I cannot even stream a 1gb file, that no longer becomes a RD problem.

Diagnose and fix ASAP. I expect my 1gb line to perform as such.

Now I’m going with wifey for a full body massage because I can’t stream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything working perfectly this side, streaming from my Plex server in EU without a hitch.

Apex still shows Singapore 1 as the preferred server with 140ms ping.....
2 restarts later. Vumatel Trenched. First reboot. Pings were all over. Second there was 2% packet loss to London. And now finally sorted

Was that router restarts? If so, I've tried that multiple times today without success

Apex isn’t on AWS. Routing via our China Telecoms peering which will make 140ms a reality and probably the closest.

As I’ve said repeatedly, we have no control over AWS’s network. If you’re struggling with Pubg, this is an AWS isssue and best taken up with pubg support. Amazon operates the worlds largest cloud infrastructure and to make your experience better, has opted to deliver this in SA themselves. While I’ve escalated a ticket to AWS, their NOC is painfully slow to deal with and chances are they’re working on a fix. Please be patient on this one. We’ve made absolutely not changes to our routing besides draining AWS in joburg to ensure we’re receiving the best AWS has to offer at their peering point in Cape Town.

Really not seeing issues on RD at the moment or with routes or streaming.

Only test I’m going to ask you to do is try another streaming device (like your Mac) to see if it buffers there too. The shield has been a pain in our backsides for a few clients now and I think it’s something with it’s inability to handle TCP window sizes correctly.

I’ve got a new android 8 tv box and no issues at all.

What box do you have? I only seem to experience this at night time.

Last week was the result of a fibre break and a problem on the failover route affecting ALL clients on the AEX network. So not sure how you equate the two?

Maybe I should elaborate a little more, I tried playing Apex on the "140ms" Singapore servers and it is a slide show of latency and rubber banding with ping warnings constantly popping up. So it appears to my uneducated guess that the ping prediction is not working as intended and it all has a common route cause with my ping issues across all games: PUBG, Battlefield V, Apex, etc. So I don't think PUBG is an AWS issue isolated but I think I have some sort of issue that you guys should be able to help me with, everything was fine and all of a sudden I am getting connected to Asian servers for all games rather than London/Western EU.
