Is it just me, or have there been many random internet drops that last like 2 to 3 minutes over the past few weeks?

and as I was about to post that you posted, so at least I'm happy its not just me...
Yep. It's a 2-3 min drop and it's daily now. Sometimes multiple times.
While this sounds insignificant it affects my work from home and I often drop out of meetings and drop calls. Then in the evenings it affects my gaming....

AGAIN

International update: We are aware of an outage with one of our upstreams. They have not withdrawn prefixes, which means they appear to be up. We are manually intervening. Please bear with us as we normalise traffic.

Waiting for feedback, but things seem to have normalised. Will update with details of what happened as soon as we find out more.

Yeah my connection also dropped for few minutes.

Initial investigation has found that we experienced an outage on one of our JHB-CPT NLD paths at approx 19:50 (@Deadmanza and @DarkSt0rm this may have been what you initially felt). Traffic moved over to the alternate path - it seems a little re-convergence delay influenced that time (I'll look into that), traffic was back to 100% on that route by 19:54.

We're still waiting for a feedback from one of our transit providers with regards to the short transit issue that started around 8:02pm (traffic briefly dropped off). I won't speculate what could have happened there.

Please rest assured we are constantly monitoring our network and doing everything we can to smooth NLD outages (which occur much more frequently than you'd imagine), add diversity and optimise your experience. The same goes with international Transit.

Monitoring this closely. Looks like WACS path is flapping again. Upstream has moved traffic over to PCCW for now. Waiting for further updates.

Edit: looks like some traffic is running over PCCW routes.

WACS seems to have stabilised. Apologies for the inconvenience. If WACS flaps again, we will take it offline until issues are entirely resolved. We'd prefer to keep it for the lower latencies for now.
