Ironically I couldn't reply earlier because once again the connection was down.

I hear you about them being big and having how many other providers, but again, from a consumer point of view, your providers are of little concern to me and it's your service that sucks right now. Particularly because no one else I've checked with has had any issues.



While I appreciate the explanation, and I don't know enough about networks to argue the point, I would expect packet loss sure, but a complete connection failure every time? From pure anecdotal experience:
  • In a game with 4 other people on 3 other ISPs I'm the only one to lose connection.
  • On a meeting with 11 other people on who knows how many ISPs, I'm the only one to lose connection.
So I guess lets see how this goes, I hope you guys find a way to sort out the issues asap.


From my personal experience, with most other providers you will get downtime and no explanation of what is going on.
 
Maybe it the customer, his previous isp is perfect after he left .
 
I really was too quick on this.
Vumatel came through and sorted the issue.
@websquadza Thanks for any part you played in speeding this along! :)
They often surprise,irritating that you have no idea when though,sometimes they do drop the ball though

WS has in the past had to get Vumatel management involved and onsite to resolve issues for us
 
@websquadza this morning I noticed pings to Frankfurt were down to around 155ms or thereabouts. I checked again now and they're back to their usual 200ms or so. Was this just an experiment or is there a chance the routes from London outward can be optimised?
 
Guys, is there a problem, I am getting disconnected constantly from the COD server and dropped out of the game for the past 15 minutes

@websquadza any idea if Telkom NLD's are having issues in PE?

My line at home (Openserve/websquad) and my line at my old place (frogfoot/Rocketnet) have gone down for a min or 2 a few times this evening at the exact same times. Afaik Frogfoot uses Telkom NLD links in PE
