Is all the links back online and back to normal? Can i do those speedtests again. So we can check what's going on?

Last week friday there was that wonky WACS i think.
 
@websquadza any idea if Telkom NLD's are having issues in PE?

My line at home (Openserve/websquad) and my line at my old place (frogfoot/Rocketnet) have gone down for a min or 2 a few times this evening at the exact same times. Afaik Frogfoot uses Telkom NLD links in PE

@websquadza this is still happening, but not on the Frogfoot line anymore

I have dialed up the old account you had me on with a lower route priority to see if that also goes down

Not seeing any faults reported on Openserve’s status page (they’re usually bad at updating NLD events). Please open a ticket if it continues so we can escalate and track.
 
Streams been specially bad this evening. Any funnies going on ?

Seeing slightly elevated latencies to Asia and Australia due to a cable break on an eastern route (last update we received). Otherwise all is looking good.

Will run some checks this side to see if we can pick up anything.
 
Some sites like Github, Slack etc really slow for me over the past few mins.

Also looked to be dead after 197.148.68.4
Route appeared to flip to 197.147.71.1, up again.

Apologies, I was offline for a few. Yup, that's two hops into upstream's network. We've escalated to them again.

We're eagerly waiting for alternate paths on this end. Should have those in place ASAP.

Are these going to be actively integrated or used only as a fallback?

We'll definitely be implementing this as a primary active solution to avoid these constant withdraws. More updates to follow soon.

We've been working with one of their senior engineers to investigate further. The pressure from multiple ISPs is helping. No update yet though. Will update as soon as we hear more.
 
Anyone else having issues with Github, Twitter etc? Keeps timing out

Edit: seems to have sorted itself after 5-10 mins

I feel the pain - here are my outages on their network - on the scale 1 = 30 minutes outage.

Edit: Narrowed it down to be assymetrical. mtr from internet to edge is fine but edge to internet goes titsup. So the ordinary tools in an ISP core won't pick it up. Either need an agent in the edge or something like a IPSLA-type probe.
