I think this has to do with the above and that LINX issue we saw earlier this week. I've already escalated this to the upstream vendor to investigate performance off their LINX port.

Correction, just tested from a server at teraco; LINX issue is resolved - getting 3X this speed. This is packet loss on Octotel :crying:

Yup. Ran iperf and got a flawless 0% loss test and nearly lost my mind. Then ran a speedtest, noticed the garbage speeds, re-ran iperf and the loss was back.

If anything the maintenance they've been doing the last few weeks is making things worse.

We (myself and a few other ISPs) maintain it looks like something broadcast related (especially because the Rondebosch VLAN does not use backhaul links to get to Teraco), but hey, what do ISPs know?

The new transit routes which were promised to us in September are finally going live in JHB next week. The vendor had capacity constraints and held back on service delivery until this was resolved (better than overselling I reckon).

Was good, speeds are amazing but the buffering started a day or 2 after that again. I'm not sure, it's possibly the iptv service provider, as some channels seem worse than others. So think it's their side.
