Soooooo whats cooking with this nonsense? Do we need to start rolling VPN's or is this only for people who receive the traditional copyright loveletter via public trackers?

I'm not really sure how ISP's are expected to monitor traffic as that would clash with POPIA and privacy?

We're reviewing this and will release comment as soon as we can; it's as much news to us and last we heard the draft bill didn't stand a chance of being signed in this form. Alas, it has. I'm not nearly the smartest person in the room when it comes to legal matters and two laws that seem to contradict one another the way this bill and the ECA act do. So we're asking those in the know, as well as making sense of all the information, so we can digest it and comment further.

Pretty sure this is a bit wonky. Downloading copyrighted material is a civil issuer, not a crime. Distribution is a criminal issue.
 
What absolute horse manure is this! Absolutely shocking tonight. Can’t stream anything. I’m sick of this. Cancelling next week. Anyone got any recommendations for another ISP?

To be honest, Websquad has been proper toilet for me for a while, worse than Cool Ideas ever was. My friends Cell C fibre line outperforms this rubbish. I’v been doing my best keeping quiet and trying to resolve via dm, but it looks like I either just get ignored or a long winded explanation with lots of big mambo jumbo words that make zero sense to me meanwhile I don’t give a rats arse. I just want it fixed.

So time to move on. Where to next, back to Cool Ideas, Cell C or what else is there. Pretty much every ISP sucks based on the feedback threads.
