I am also having issues. Sub 76Mbps local with packet loss on a 1Gb line. Evotel Northriding
 
Anyone else getting a ton of packet loss to EU based servers (Apex Legends, Blizzard/StarCraft II and Twitch)?

Local is fine, but international is very poor, has been like that for the last day or 3. @websquadza anything up your side or is it further up the "chain" ?

Issue seems isolated to JHB BNG traffic (so all GPON/Aerial links) on certain BNGs. We've picked up on an API integration to our BNG stack utilising excessive CPU cycles to do what it needs to do. We've disabled this and the affected devices are taking significantly less strain. The team will work with the API vendor before re-enabling this tool.

Was still experiencing connectivity issues in Riverclub (aerial) this morning, but just resolved.

I always appreciate how fast you guys action these issues on the rare occasions that they occur.
 
Anyone else experiencing 300+ms ping to local South African Dota 2 servers? Started about mid day.
Happy to take a look at this and see if there are any routing issues. If you can confirm an IP please? These are usually hosted behind Optinet/DD as far as I remember.

I don't actually have any off hand, will need to install glasswire again to check.

Edit, after digging a bit more after load shedding ended, seems to be a Steam/Dota 2 issue:

We saw that too, things are looking better now. We're investigating

Definitely looks like a server side issue; could be DDOS against the servers, with traffic being routed via a scrubbing service in the EU
 
Yeah seems for the last couple of days my internet has been up and down.

Just had a major blip with pings to Europe going from 170 to +350 with major packet loss

I was in the middle of an Apex Legends game and my ping went to over 350 with 48% packet loss and 54 choke.

Lasted for about 2 minutes then restored.

Still seeing over 300 ping from the client, don't know of any local IP's off hand and the only way to really find one is going into a game (which is near impossible with the ping).

Any way you can check resource monitor to see what IPs you're connecting to?

Thanks, was playing Overwatch 2 and also had major PL with high ping.

One of our edge routers took a higher than expected processing load on the back of a small change made by our team. Once the policy applied, everything stabilised.

Please look into ticket 271997, Vumatel techs arrived on-site and conducted tests and observed no abnormalities on there network, however off network(your network) there is stability issues.

I have updated the ticket with there observations.

Any assistance will be appreciated please.
