@websquadza any gremlins in the system? Been having really slow DNS lookups (google, cloudflare, yours), and loads of unresolvable hosts (github, pip, docker, etc)
Sorry only picking this up now. Not seeing anything in the logs and probes to q1,8 and 9 show no downtime last night. Issue still present or cleared up this morning?

Not as bad as last night, but it looks to be another vuma issue, see loads of people complaining on the whatsapp group this morning

Code:
raise ReadTimeoutError(self._pool, None, "Read timed out.")
pip._vendor.urllib3.exceptions.ReadTimeoutError: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='download.pytorch.org', port=443): Read timed out.

:(

Anyone on WebSquad having issues to Google or Twitch or international traffic today?
I'm currently on cool ideas looking to move to another isp

Evening. Still seeing an issue here? Haven't been able to reproduce DNS lookup failures, but I suspect may be something on PKL1 if your neighbours are also complaining. Have you tested non standard DNS servers? I can give you a server to test if you want?

Sorry for the late reply here. Let me take a look and see if we can route around this. Seems to be something on this vendor's wet segment. Second trace looks like our favourite Vuma issue from earlier this year may be at play too (I'll arrange for a collection of that box and that sfp for you). Let's focus on clearing this initial issue.

Wondering if the issue isn't causing the DNS issues as well, they were back today too

Morning
Vuma trenched Springs off.
No internet.
Restart router no internet access.
ONT flashing green.

From Mwebs support page ( @websquadza , any chance we could get something similair?)
Same in Springs

Major East Rand Vumatel Outage - Vumatel Ekurhuleni Master node is down. Techs are on site investigating. No ETR as yet.

Edit 11:31 - looks like services are restoring

Is Youtube/Google Services acting up again? Constantly buffering
Lots of things are very broken, not just Google. Been trying to work with Python packages the whole weekend... Same thing with Rust crates... It's been interesting... Reminds me of the dark days of ADSL

Not aware of anything Google related or issues their side yet. GGCs are still offline. Testing this side no issues loading videos on iOS app and Apple TV. Could be a platform specific or local loss issue? Have you checked for packet loss?

Can you please share source IPs for these downloads or something we can test on this side (eg. How to replicate this issue)? Any PL as well? Would prefer not to conflate separate issues. At this point all that's common is Vuma and PKL1.

Edit: looking on other threads, there may be a common issue with Vuma. You're both on the same master nodes PKL where I'm on Bryanston master node. Let me dig a little further.
