Ja me too, had some downloads to run last night, left my pc to run from 10:00pm till 03:00am this morning, I barely got 800mb out of my capped account on a 4mb line. So thats +- 150mb per hour. :mad:

havent used my 2gb free account in a few months but decided to last night, it authenticates but no connection

any idea whats going on ? should i reset the password or log a ticket or something ...
 
I am on 40Mb business capped VDSL and can barely stream Twitch/Youtube.

lol its becoming a bad joke. WA, at least provide us with updates or refunds.

I'm actually really disappointed in WA's support they used to be very good.
 
It is poor really. At the very least, send an email out to your users apologising and update ur network status, its misleading.. And one support person will say everything is alright with your account, the next, upstream provider have issues, get ur facts straight and just let us know ffs.
 
What concerns me is that these are the symptoms that made me leave AH for WA. Been months and AH still haven't fixed it.

Just hope WA isn't going the same way.
 
Morning everyone,

We know that this issue is extremely frustrating and not ideal but I can assure everyone we're doing everything we can to speed up the IPC upgrade in CPT. The issue is out of our hands at the moment, as the upgrade was requested from Telkom well before the issue hit the critical levels it is at the present moment but due to technical issues on their end there is a delay in completing the upgrade in CPT.

We hoping for Telkom to complete the upgrade this week but we're waiting for final confirmation from them. I will keep everyone updated as soon as we get this confirmation.
 
These are my monthly transfer stats using the WebAfrica Download window (midnight to 6am).
As you can see they are fairly inconsistent and some nights are better than others.
What I would like to know is, are we being shaped or throttled during the download window period?
What else would account for these erratic differences?

I'm also in Johannesburg and am experiencing precisely the same problem <sigh>
 
Same this side in JHB. Cancelled already, will try another provider with more consistent speeds...
 
Why when I call WebAfrica at 6:30 am for support on a non-working ADSL line, do I get an automated message telling me that office hours are between 6am and midnight and to call back then?

So you know there is a problem, it's apparently not your fault and yet the consumer has to pay for it????????????????
 
Tried streaming twitch last night. Was getting between 200-400 kB/s on my 20mb line. Not impressed.
 
4mb here, for the past few days i've been doing 720p very easily.
 
Everything seems to go belly up at 20:00 3rd night in a row I need to switch to another ISP account.
 
I really hope this gets sorted out soon. Steam is doing only 600 kB/s and twitch barely does 400 on my 20mb line.

EDIT Youtube is also only doing 500 kB/s and is telling me I should be watching at 480p. I've also got 400 ping to JHB CSGO servers. This is NOT ok.
