I am having exactly the same issue.
According to WebAfrica they (WA) are having bandwidth issues and are in the process of purchasing more bandwidth from Telkom.
Until the deal is done we can but wait ...

Our upstream service provider has alleviated the congestion issue in the Gauteng region so far and they're still working to fix this problem in the Western Cape region as well. We're really sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this issue has caused you

So I've been having serious packet loss and speed issues lately, and I have no idea why.
At first I thought congested exchange, but even when my internet is at its slowest I still ping 26ms to the exchange :?
As for the packet loss, I'm still getting 10% loss to a cape town based teamspeak server.
The speed issues come at 12pm at night, as soon as it hits 12pm, my ping in game (path of exile) hits 2000+ and it flat lines and lags out. EVERY single night at exactly 12. I then need to switch over to an afrihost account to be able to do anything.
I'm in the western cape (just outside of George at Wilderness)
Any ideas?

DL+ speeds on Sunday a.m. were - mainly, not always - close to max.
Didn't test Monday a.m.
Last night DL+ speeds were back to pathetic.

After hours I get great speed but during the day the speeds on a 20mb line are not what they should be. Not impressed at the moment
Doing what exactly during the day? I never experience browsing problems during the day.
On a 20mb business capped VDSL package and getting:
Even streaming from youtube nets me 1100 kB/s max. Yesterday I even had 800 ping to EU in a MMO game and 200 ping to JHB CSGO server yet speedtest, ping from cmd and tracerts all showing fine. Change to Telkom and I get full line speed.
Am I getting shaped on my business package?
*EDIT A router reboot fixed it. Can ignore this message.

Are you still experiencing issues?
We're still waiting on feedback from our upstream provider regarding the Western Cape area and we will update everyone as soon as it has been fixed. Really sorry about the delay and the inconvenience caused.

Glad to see im not the only one from WC struggling here with Webafrica... I get about 30-40kbs max on my 2meg uncapped account, still on 5 stars. Switch to there free capped account and get full speeds. Something seriously up, will be jumping ship soon too if not sorted.
