I'm having problems with P2P on my WA account. In fact it's happening on all IS based accounts I've tried.

I seem to be limited to between 5-20KB/s download and 25KB/s Upload. It's been like this since Monday, but it seems to be isolated to me since I haven't noticed any other complaints.

If I use a my Vox account everything works PERFECTLY. With my Afrihost account, things work about as well as could be expected from them, but still far better than IS accounts.

Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated, I don't know who to go to for support.

Does the capped accounts also have the star rating thing?
If I buy a TB capped data can I consume at full line speed with no restrictions?

No star ratings, as for no restrictions well... It is technically still a shaped account but when it gets shaped and with which protocol is shaped etc.
Basically from what I have heard is that it is as good as unshaped most of the time.

P2P might get shaped during office hours if the network is struggling a bit type thing. Best is to get a trial account and test it yourself

All my P2P happens 00:00 - 6 am anyway. Only "office hours" usage will be steam and streaming video.
Normal HOME capped good enough for that?

Should be, although as I said. Best is to try it for yourself with a free account

YOu dont.

Once you get account details mail just close that page.

yep I did just that. hope the quality is good. need to monitor my usage. may need to switch to capped permanently.

Bolton is fine but when I need to work at night I cant lately. at least this week. my volumes are not that high. although ive switched to hd but that can be changed as well. during the day the line is idle so decent uncapped account is a waste. although the admin of switching accounts every time is not appealing.

overkill for my needs. currently my data costs me less than R100 on a 4mbps line most months and that's sufficient to do all I need. I just need a backup for work for peak times. if my nntp gets throttled I don't go bat**** crazy. there is content. if I worked from home maybe but all that business hours is just wasted on an idle line and currently I don't stream that much at home either.

No Star rating attached to a capped account and you can consume the data as fast as your line allows

A capped account will definitely be the best for you.

You can sign up for the test account here and just move the slider over to the 2gb account and you will see it will be listed as free.
