I have this problem and I have reported the fault to WebAfrica as I rent my ADSL line from them. Now as far as I'm concerned they should be in contact with Telkom and stay on top of the fault and provide me with feedback (that is why I pay them).

At this stage I am very annoyed as I have reported the fault over a week ago and I still have no clue if this is a line fault, area or exchange problem. My internet has been unusable since the time of the fault. Sometimes connects but so slow I can't even browse. My line attenuation is atrocious.

Will WebAfrica reimburse me for the time I have been unable to this service?
What is happening? I am getting very frustrated, I have always had such great service from WebAfrica, should I start doubting this?

Peace out,
Beo...

Could it maybe be a side effect of their move to IS?
Maybe ask them about their IS terms and where your usage places you...

They have not moved to IS yet, only effective at the end of the month.
I had an issue with only a 214k connection on a 2Mbps line and no Telkom dial-tone beginning of the year and Telkom credited me for service interruption, but nothing from WebAfrica, maybe I need to ask them if I am entitled to a credit too :)

I've had no internet for over a week. It took multiple calls to WA and telkom and eventually I got through to a decent telkom rep who gave me feedback as to exactly what was wrong and an general eta on the repairs (bulk exchange damaged)

Sorry WA even though you logged the fault and your reps are friendly, they did not get back to me with feedback as promised.

Hi BeoTek,

Our ADSL support should be following up with you and Telkom on your fault. You should have gotten feedback within 48-72hrs from logging the fault.

Can you PM me your customer code so I can get this investigated immediately.

Hey Justin, thanks for the response.
I have had feedback by email, but nothing constructive, only stating that I have logged a fault and that there is an issue.

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks.
