DO NOT USE WEBAFRICA We have been trying to Cancel our WEBAFRICA account for over 1 year. I was going through our banking in October and was horified to see that my cancellation had not been done. I have contacted them through there WHATSAPP chat & via email only to be replied to with a stupid message about "BUSY BOTS". No call back, no email, nothing. Useless Customer service, no customer respect, no answers, just irritation...DO NOT USE WEBAFRICA

I'm with Webafrica for past 18 months and must admit, their customer service is terrible, but been lucky that I didn't have any (major) issues.. friend of mine is on Cool Ideas (for gaming) and have had zero issues

Me 5 years ago : Telkom is the worst ISP i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Their customer service is nonexistent and fixing the simplest of requests turns into a nightmare. I cannot see how it's physically possible for any ISP to be this incompetent.
WebAfrica : Hold my beer.

EDIT: My bad, I notice this thread not really relevant to my elaborate story, but I'll leave it here for if someone wants to read.

I've decided to stay on with Cape-Connect with Frogfoot. After some research I've found that my latency is most probably not going to change and from Cape Town they're on par or better than most. AND BUT once in the beginning sometime after signup (just over a year ago) I called support once and had a easy time - while support guy after hours even called me back to assist with own router setup (they're not obliged to help in such cases) to assist me in figuring out I was a dumbass by re-pluggin the a lan cable into the incorrect port, as it was working previously.

Comes this year, cancelling the Telkom landline (OMG) for a SoftPhone solution via the lovely folks at SwitchTel and not having to bother with the impossible case of Telkom Cancellation. Then plus Frogfoot fibre speed upgrades & price hikes again... They did not update the package(s) price we're on and I did even easily downgrade my package with R100 bucks, since 60/60 Mbps was not needed if 60/30 Mbps was now fair enough anyway :D
