Hi

I have a business I like to create a website for. I thought webhosting would be quite expensive, where you have your own .co.za adress.

But now I found a adress on the internet

http://clients.wm.co.za/20014288/default.htm (is this like a free website or what kind of adress is this)

Thanks

R160 once off for co.za registration and then R60 per/year
and R25 p/m for hosting.

I offer hosting too, check the site in my sig for info. Pm me if you have any questions!

this is iface, crooks if u ask me ... a client of theirs moved to my servers 2 years ago. after a year of hosting with me i received an update ticket from coza, requesting name server changes back to iface. SNEAKY very sneaky  . we declined. THx but no thx

Thanks for sharing that, Alpha, but don't you think it's rather inappropriate in this thread?

Texo might be one of the "small fish" in the very large webhosting "pond", but we too offer world-class hosting.

(And, if you had read some of my other posts, you'll know that it was because I was so disappointed with the service offered by the local "big fish" that I started Texo)

ETA: sorry, just checked, and see that web4africa is "Ghana's #1 Web Host".

Thanks, Getafix -- I also used to recommend Hetzner -- but I think that instead of lying about there being no setup fees and so on, you should state the facts:

On Hetzner's smallest hosting package (which allows 300MB of transfer/month and 5MB of disk space), there is a R49 setup fee. And they charge R79, not R50, for a .co.za domain.

Sorry to stop the party...
Hetzner: Overpriced but good service with SLOW servers! (try pining it !)
Web africa: Overpriced, and under developed hosting services. They should stick to what they're excellent at, providing ADSL.
Web4Africa: Um who are they? Do you find them in any search engines? forum posts? internet directory's?(Apologies made)

Yes i too am a small inter hosting company. I have a small client base and will be promoting my services in the near future. So if you're unsatisfied with the above suppliers, speak to me, and hopefully we can sort something out :)

Regards,
Paul

I'm perfectly happy with Serv.co.za
And they provide unbelievable support!
Kudos to Serv.co.za

Im perfectly happy with Texo... their response time is amazing and they always ready to assist you.

Some customers were at serve but they have quite a bit of unnoticed down time. (It's usally nothing to worry about as its usually only for 5 mins and late at night.)

Web4Africa has been around since 2002. See www.web4africa.net before you go out attempting to discredit others.

Web4Africa appears in ALL the major search engines on the Internet today. All you need do is check.

Web4Africa only recently, launched a full subsidiary for the South African market. See www.web4africa.co.za

Web4Africa is well known for offering low-pricing for its world-class services, as well as great customer support.
