Websense is designed to block internet access and it's one of the best application out there for the job.

Renvilo, I suggest you log a request to open access to the sites you want to access. The disclaimer of the leading gold mining company you work for, though, states that its systems may only be used for conducting its authorised business. The fact that you can still access certain non-business sites, is a perk, not a right.
Not being a douche, as much as it annoys me that my company blocks access to sites that I might consider legit, it is still my company's network and internet proxies, not mine. At least at home I [still] can surf what I like

I'll rather just buy a 500mb bundle and use it @ work... Don't like if someone tries to put me in a dog box.... Sorry but I'm just human and I do as I like... If they don't want me to gtalk or skype to someone who can help me in VB they can send me on courses... Oh wait... They don't because the world sucks @ss at the moment (or that's their excuse)
