Website name for wedding photography

Hi guys

My friend will be starting his own photography website soon but will be specializing in wedding photography. He is having trouble coming up with a name for the website/domain. Any suggestions? Most of the cool names have been used before :(

Photography is one of those industries where your name is everything. I've setup several websites for photographers before and I always recommend using your name as your company name and website domain. For example if you name is John Smith, then use "John Smith Photography" and johnsmithphotography.co.za or johnsmith.co.za

My 2 cents worth.
 
that's the problem, even Tom, Dick & Harry has a website these days so all the easy-to-use & easy-to-remember names are taken already. Is he going solo, or planning on setting up a CC / PTY? This normally makes it easier to choose a domain, once CIPRO has approved his name.

A suggest: use his realname. A lot of photographer use their real name as "company name" as well and since he's actually selling himself and not the photos, it might be worth while to look @ it? Look, for example:

Thanks guys, but he will be partnering with his fiance, so it will have to be a merger of names of some sort :)
 
well, think out of the box a bit :) If it's Pete & Mary Visagie, then use something like pmvisagie.co.za or mpvisagie.co.za - as example, but try something like that as well
 
There is a post on David Zisers blog about naming your company. In short he recommends using your name or something that brands your business but also has an association to you as a person. In terms of wedding photographer, your are the brand ambassador for your business. Choosing a name is a big thing and needs to be thought of carefully. I second using your name with the following caveat if you have a very difficult name it might not be wise to use it as is. You need people to remeber you.
