Weed growers thread

I smoke every day yes but I wouldn't say I'm high every day. Your tolerance builds up quite quickly if you smoke every day so for me it just makes me mellow and slow my brain down sufficiently to do some work. As for the vaporizer I do have one although it's not really a real proper vaporizer Magic Flint Launch Box. The portable vaporizers won't really work for me so I'm leaning more to a table top one but the costs are ridiculous. Obviously when you're smoking R100 plus per gram weed then a joint makes no sense rather use a pipe or vaporizer but Swazi on the other hand for me goes well in a joint. I'm currently paying R150 for 100 grams of Swazi and it's quite enjoyable actually compared to my R10 and R20 gram connections. Plus after another six months I'm going to be self sufficient with my cannabis supply which will hopefully free up my budget to get some goodies. Even with 20% genetics I will need more than two plants, I planting quite a few just shy of 20% THC plants this year but definitely not for every day smoke, I don't think I'll be able to function.

Just another point on the lung issue, I was always under the impression that anything that you smoke is bad for your lungs and I made peace with that but I just have to point to a study which they did in California where they had a three sample groups over twenty years of only cannabis smokers, cannabis and tobacco smokers and non smokers. After twenty years there was no difference between lung capacity of cannabis only smokers and non smokers. The sample size was also quite large. So maybe not that bad but I would still prefer to just take the extract that I make for every day use and a joint in the evening of some royal weed.
R150 for 100grams? dude what?!?!?!?! im paying R50 for 5 grams of decent swazi, works well before bed.

Yes I smoke about a parcel a week, it's actually usually between 110 - 120 grams, medium quality. I don't feel a difference between that and the normal Swazi I smoke but a big difference between this and the R20/gram Swazi which I call high grade Swazi.

Hi Guys

I have a question regarding these 2 autoflowers in hydroponic autopots. Perhaps someone on the forum can assist or there is a thread I can go to?

Im at about EC 0.5. 3 weeks from seed. Hortimix nutes. Strange brown patch on the leaf of the one plant?? Not sure if its environment or nutrients...

Will post a closeup of the one leaf and a shot of the other plant...

Thanks!! Hopefully someone in the know.

Is that 2 weeks from seed? My they are big! What lights you running?
Is that 0.5 ppm?
I wouldnt worry for a small brown spot like that. Just maybe flush(not sure how that is done in autopots) and then feed with a weaker nute solution than you were. Those plants are big for 2 weeks from seed, what genetics?

@Batista Apologies, typo for my part. Corrected to 3 weeks there, give or take.

I have an insta page cape_grow_experiment where I have tracked my steps for the most part. Have a 220W LED light... Has the dates of everything as well.

I've been working in EC from a chart... so PPM is 250?! Not so sure...

I'm going to try spraying some organic fungicide from tomorrow... Maybe fresh water again in the reservoir. I don't think it is pest related but I'm going to take precautions there. I'm still only using my nutrient A and B so I don't see how it would need the flowering part yet it's too early. Overall the plants are happy it's literally just one or two leaves on the one plant.

They are Northern Lights x Blueberry Autos.

My next run will be organic that's for sure... And another Hybrid or Indica haven't got the biggest space to work with. Alot of fun but brown spots and surprises = not so fun....

@killingfields They looking tops !
PH very important or the plant wont pull the nutrients out of the water.
Do you have a second pump in the reservoir that just turns the water over ? (micro nutri don't get time to settle (Silica is one of the mofo's ) and an air stone ?

Its mainly what I have going on in reservoir so I can cut back on chemicals
Are your 220w lights full spectrum ?

Flush her

I did look into the auto pots but I have a cheap way with far less to go wrong. ( I'm lazy in a way it must work and be easy.)

Looks like burnt chloroplasts. I.e. nutrient burn.

Share your method bru, we all want to save time, money and effort :D

Getting somewhere

That was most definitely not for personal use.

lol, How many plants would be though? When you plant you don't know how may seeds will come up. You don't know how many will make it to be big plants. You don't know the yield you're gonna get. Obviously 214 is excessive xD but what if I have 7-10 plant all different strains which I'm just playing with? How would one "prove" personal use?

What if I'm making oil and need a crap load of plant material and I'm scared I mess it up so I grow double the amount of plants just in case? :D So many questions xD

That's exactly the question my brother and I have been pondering ourselves. We each have some seedlings, but we aren't sure exactly how many we can "legally" grow .

Ye, legislature needs to get it's rear in gear. Also a seedling is not guaranteed to give you a full flowering plant so saying 241 "plants" is a bit of a stretch when they are tiny seedlings... but there is no clarity on this yet :/ I'm already at almost 10 "plants" (mostly seedlings) but it's really just to make sure I get enough yield for making oil and in case some of the plants don't make it. I'm growing indoors and loadshedding is killing my crops so far :/

Just use kelpak as a foliar spray, it contains cytokines and auxin's (plant hormones used in growth regulation). Your plants will love it and they can absorb it through transpiration.

Edit: Snake oil with regards to immunity, you can use kelpak foliar during flower just don't go overboard as you may introduce mold.

Thanks semaphore:giggle:

They say if using it via foliar spray one should apply it once every two weeks. Would this be during the entire grow or just for vegetative or flowering?

Yeah that's about right, but more won't hurt.
