Weed growers thread

straighter didn't work - wear gloves if trying - just ended up with flat dry nugs

Got some plants from a friend, he has been growing them for about a month in a window sill. I told him it's not the right season to plant outside, he said it's a weed and will grow and flower anytime of the year, you won't get that big of a yield.

Should I go ahead and plant them outside or can I leave them in the window sill?

Anyone help me - I was told today that spraying your plants in flower, with H2O2 ( for powdery mildew ) would cause oxidation on the heads and the THC to change to CBN

Thats what GTHydro salesman told me ...I havnt been able to find anything on the web about it. I know you are supposed to spray the leaves only, but its hard not to spray the heads in the process

Can you believe I have one bush of Dinachem strain, that I planted 1/11/2018 , that is so massive, and still probably 2-3 weeks from harvest. Thats almost 6 months its been growing...and still not ready....caterpillars are eating it to pi=eces

Is it the little green and brown worms? I see them on my plants but don't see any damage from them. Do they eat the fan leaves or the bud leaves?

Small green caterpillars - they bore into a head, then that part of the head dies.IMG_9892.JPG

I also have a lot of heads turning brown on my plants, I cut a five litre bucket's worth off now. I thought it was bud rot but was confused as my plants aren't that wet here in the Cape. I'll kill the little buggers from now on.

I was also told it was bud rot and I must pull my plants - some stupid advice available on the net ....lucky I found out.
I was told to spray dish soap water .... but havnt tried it yet -

Spraying won't help. They're right inside the bud & protected from whatever you're spraying. I've found the only way is to open up the dead bud & kill the worm. I sprayed Ludwig's every other week with my current grow & still ended up with 15-20 worms in the buds.

I was told it will keep them away , but not kill what’s there ?

I read praying mantis eats them, I found a few in my garden the other day. I don't however see any worms or eggs if I break up the brown bud. I have resorted to cutting off the affected colas, lost a couple of nice main ones. Seems to be only on the outside colas usually main cola.

Apparently Neem Oil can also be used to repel, never heard of it but seems readily available.
