In that case, I recommend basically making a food diary. Count everything you eat, including the fast food and beer. Then you need to work out how many calories you are actually consuming, as well as how much protein etc.
What is probably happening is that you are eating more than you think you are. Its mentioned in this thread, but one day I weighed a spoon of peanut butter and got the shock of my life. What I thought was around 15g of peanut butter was closer to 50g - this meant I was consuming 300 calories worth of peanut butter twice a day. It adds up fast.
Also, what would 85kg represent for you? How tall are you? The reason I ask is that, the thinner you get, the harder it becomes to lose weight.
I lose weight fairly easily actually. The problem has been that I work in an isolated part of the world and the temptations when my day off comes is to have a bit of a blow out on a Thursday and Friday night before work again on Saturday.
Example, last Saturday morning before work I weighed in at 91.7kg. Thursday morning I was 89.8. That has been happening for a couple of months and that's what I'm going to break now. So the last 2 days I had a relaxing time and didn't go anywhere. Just Fallout 4 and a few beers/whiskies last night. Woke up this morning to 89.8 still so quite happy with that.
I'm pretty good on the portion control too but s it's a lifestyle change rather than a diet, I'm not logging. I did that for the longest time a couple of years ago when I did a big diet and it all went back on again after I finished. Now I'm just much more aware about what I eat and the portions are a big part of that.
I'm 1.85m btw and 85 was the goal because it seemed like a nice number. Sitting here so close to it I actually think I'll need to continue until about 82 becasue I've still got too many wobbly bits
Thanks for the advice.
