Weight Loss/ Gain thread Dec 2014 - 2015

So I'm 3 weeks into my "clean eating" and was down 2kg in the first week only to go up 1.2kg in the second but I am not phased much, the cm's are all down so far. I just need to get my lazy behind out of bed in the mornings to go to gym, this seems to be harder than giving up the bread and delicious spuds. :(

It gets easier with time. And once it becomes routine then you don't have any issues. Even Winter mornings become easier.

So I managed to get to the gym, routine is not there yet but i'll keep trying.

Sunday weigh in had me down 2.4kg's for the week, that's 3.8kg loss since I rebooted my eating on the 5th of Oct.

I set out to achieve +- 4kgs for the month so I'm chuffed to be on track for achieving the small goals. :D

Ugh, my 2kg gain due to bad eating and lack of gym has turned me into my former skinny fat self :/

Time to get back on the wagon!

This wagon needs to have its suspension checked, it keeps kicking people off.

-700g shift in weight for last week as long as its going down, I'm happy. 8cm drop in waist measurement since 5 Oct, very happy about that :D

Went on holiday to France for a month.

Left: 79.x kg
Came back: 75.2 kg this morning.

Making a concerted effort to drop down to 73kg and then start boxing again, as I've been lazy whilst away.

I've also made the decision to eat less meat. So i'm doing 5 days of veg 2 days of meat currently. I may remove meat completely at some time in the future - but for now I don't plan on doing so.

Down another 1.3kg since last Sunday's weigh in so I'm making steady progress. I'm going to start off HIIT Cardio tonight... My first five weeks have been focusing only on my eating and food choices, now it's time to focus on adding a good mix of workouts to the plan.

Congrats to Joka who is almost near his goal :D

Reporting in:
I slipped off the band wagon big time going from 75 ->83kgs
Worked my way back down to 75 kgs as of this week

Tennis ftw

So .. about 2 months ago (starting weight :95kg) I climbed back onto the banting wagon and signed up for one of those meal plans (21 days of banting lunch and supper).. this morning I jumped on the scale and I am at 87kg. Quite surprising since this last weekend I had a major cheat and chowed 2 large Dominos pizzas.

Anyways.. I am really happy with the results.. and hope that within 2 - 3 months I will attain my goal weight of 75 - 80kg. (holding thumbs)

So... I've been doing intermittent fasting since the end of August.

My scale isn't reliable, so I haven't really been using that. But, I think it is making a difference. I still have love handles, but I can see my ribs now. I can see the lower part of my rib cage and the bottom two ribs. I can see "dimples" in my belly that weren't there before. So, I still have belly fat, but I think I have less fat than I have in a long, long time. So I'm going to carry on with intermittent fasting, actually probably for the rest of my life. But when I get my body fat to where I want it, I'll probably increase my food intake again.

Yes, I'm definitely what you would call skinny fat. I know it isn't great for my ribs to be showing, and I'll probably start to look worse as I lose more fat. But the problem is, I can't really do any weight lifting at the moment because of my achilles tendon injury. So, while I can't exercise, I at least want to lose fat. By the time I can exercise again (maybe January), I hope to have my body fat low enough that my gains will be really noticeable.

When I start weightlifting again, I'll increase my food intake. To be honest, at the moment since I can't do much because of my injury, I'm also careful about gaining weight. It would be very easy to just eat myself into a coma and balloon.

EDIT: Not sure how accurate my scale is, but according to it, I weigh about 84kg.

Skinny fat is the worst. Other guys have it easier to lose/gain weight.

I'll get there eventually, I just have some stubborn belly fat. I'm hoping for most of it to be gone end of January or February.

Yeah I've been telling myself that for a few months now. Those last few kilos really are a bitch :D

I'm hoping going on leave soon will sort them out.

Depending on your Christmas eating habits, leave may make it worse!

I can notice a difference and I've been pretty consistent with my willpower, so I think I'll be okay. I have stuck to my diet, I have stuck to my intermittent fasting, and I am seeing results.

Sure, I wish the results were a lot faster, but they are coming.

I think I need to lose 5kgs of pure fat! Oh well.

Oh and then gain many kgs of muscle.

I always lose weight when I'm on leave. I will eat a ton but being active the entire day seems to burn it all away. Desk-bound jobs suck lol. Xmas is another story though. Then it's pig out and no activity.

I have around 2 kilos to lose. But those 2 are purely fat around my belly.

Given up on gaining muscle. It all just ends up as fat around my waistline.

What are you trying to do to gain muscle though?

I think you need to be careful when bulking. It seems a lot of people eat too much junk food when bulking, and then they put on a lot of fast.
