Weight loss

Schit, you're right. Didn't even cross my mind. It's actually more than 13g for a 250ml glass.

Will figure something out...

I used to love a huge glass of full-fat milk whenever. Now I go without and it doesn't bother me. To be honest though, sometimes I'll have a shot of cream.

And also, I'm not sure if you've factored this in, but water: have a ****load of it every day, and don't forget to replenish your salt.

I think the only form of detox that works. Is when you are trying to determine a certain food group that doesn't agree with you. And you drop to a very basic eating plan and slowly reintroduce foods until one of them bites. I don't think detox is actually the right word for that, but the hippies built off of this idea when coining the "detox" we know and hate today.

When you say 'bites', would that include water retention? Just two soya sausages after 6 weeks without soya products and the scale shows an increase of 1kg.

EDIT
Never mind. Just googled food intolerance and water retention was one of the symptoms, and it would also explain how I put on this weight and why I could never lose it. Soya featured in my meals daily . I'm going to miss it :(

So got back to the gym this am after almost 2 weeks. It sucked :(

But at least I walked out feeling good :D

@D3nz. Funny you should say that about soya. I am giving up oats for breakfast from next week. Will try a soya patty with cheese and see what happens.

1 Day so far caffeine free....

Hopefully today is easier...

 wrong thread?
This is the weight loss thread, why would you give up caffeine?

I don't drink coffee... My caffeine came in the form of Pepsi Max, or Coke Zero.

Giving up the artificial sweeteners has meant giving up caffeine...

The caffeine content in those isn't that high, but if you don't drink coffee how about green tea?

Pepsi MAX is LOADED with caffeine :P

Nah, not a tea drinker either, I really don't like hot drinks. (I'll have a hot chocolate on a freezing winters day, but only for the chocolate)

Dude, if hot doesn't float your boat then throw in ice and lemon/mint and have ice cold green tea......all depends how bad you want a caffeine fix I suppose.

Anyhow diet sodas are no better if not worse than regular sodas so good riddance to those.

I'm honestly not coping at the moment, yesterday was hell with headaches, today is not much better....

Hopefully this passes soon, however I slept much better last night than before...

Once the headaches pass you won't even miss it.

I can't eat curry anymore. Just the thought of it is making me nauseous. Really have to find new things to eat. On the upside I only have to worry about 2 meals , breakfast and supper. Not hungry at all at lunch time and I have to force myself to eat some almonds and cheese around 3. That butter coffee is the best thing ever for keeping me full.

Curry is the best

Hey all. If you're interested, I've released what I hope to be the final version of my weight loss tool. It now records and analyses historical data and lets you filter on date for the totals chart. It's now really beneficial to anyone on a diet, not just keto dieters, despite the name. You can grab it here - http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...band-users?p=11275369&viewfull=1#post11275369

You can now see a total breakdown of what you've eaten since recording information in the tool, and you can also select specific dates to look at, as well as seeing your overall state. Even if you're not trying ketogenic diets, it will still give you a good indication of how far off you are as an FYI, as an added feature.

Enjoy...

Shame I feel for you.. One of the reasons this diet is so effective for me is that I get to eat so many things I love so often.
