Weight loss

My will is not infallible, I ate a small portion of blueberry pie my manager brought in - it was almost sickly sweet now that I no longer have sugar in anything

No need to be infallible Drew. That small portion of pie isn't going to have a major effect.

If you were having a slice every day it would have been a different story.

Haha thanks Shuan - I am super strict about overly sugary food. I believe if you let a little in then you're giving yourself allowance for the next time.

I treat pasta etc the same.

Suprisingly I am the same as you, pastry and savoury has always been faaar more appealing than sweet stuff- but my body wants flapjacks, pancakes, pies - so generally baked goods - even cheese scones.

Come to think of it, its mostly items with flour etc, could this be a sign of something?

If my grandfather offers me sweets and I decline he gives me a speech about how you are allowed to cheat 20% of the time...
I don't think he understands how this all works and he doesn't take no for an answer :(

He doesn't take no for an answer because you are not firm enough with your no.

I used to be like that. These days I make it clear that I am not going to eat it whatever is being offered and I don't give a toss if they choose to get offended.

My husband knows how much I love the black champion toffees and peanut brittle, so he always buys them for me. I would never hurt his feelings by not being appropriately appreciative. They're all in a packet in the back of my cupboard :o:D

"honey, would you like me fat or all sexy and slim, your choice" *flutter eyelashes*

Did you do a fasting test? I always have mine done early in the morning, so at least 12 hours after my last meal. Also, full lipogram or just total count?

No idea, just did a Discovery Health Check and noticed then that one of the results said that my cholesterol "is high" and should be less 5 mmol/l. It was measured via a handheld device (no idea how it measures it and if those devices need to be calibrated or are as accurate as a lab test). I am not too stressed about it, but was just surprised that this was the only reading which was out (aside from the fact, that Discovery believes that my 79kg @ 1,76cm is still too fat and I need to shed another 6kg which is a PITA).

I've always preferred milk chocolate over dark/bitter, but the 90% Lindt has grown on me.
