Weight loss

Quick note about this..How sure are you, that you are in a keto state? Thought I have been for the last week but the strips show other-wise.

I don't think the strips area good indication and I wouldn't really bother with them, you actually don't want to see ketones in your urine, you want your body burning them all up with none to spare. I think you can sense when you are in a keto state - especially with the acetone in your mouth - makes your mouth feel bleh.

For all you know you are in fact in a fat adapted state and your body is burning all the ketones so none or very small amount will show in your urine or you may have your ratios a tad off and your protein levels a bit high.

True and something I've noticed with the strips. Fell the polar opposite of when I was carb loading for the winter :o now so that is a good sign. Mouth has been so-so but because I drink a crap load of water I don't notice it much.

Anything you've noticed?

Yeh, thats why I mentioned it. I don't enjoy keto lifestyle, just trying it out for a week or two. I prefer my fruits and veg to a high fat diet, I don't enjoy the food, I much prefer a grapefruit to bacon in the morning, go figure:wtf:

Ketones in urine is GOOD. Those used to be fat and you are peeing them out! Wasting them! So your body will need to make more!

Ok so I noticed yesterday's headache wasn't as bad as Monday and Tuesday, progress I guess.

I can say that since changing my breakfast from something cereal based to fat/protein based has stopped the need for a mid morning snack.

Why is your headache lasting so long?? I usually have it for a day or 2 that its very bad then its ok.
Although I do have a headache more often than not so maybe I'm just used to it...

I'm having a lot of milk with my cereal and don't want the mid morning snack but then have a protein snack when I do snack.
Its interesting to experiment with different breakfasts....

In my line of work headache comes with the job but this headache is different. Its more like my head is in a vice applying steady pressure. Yesterday it felt like the pressure was lowered.

I think it was Sinbad that said I should get something to snack on in the afternoon which I did yesterday so I guess it helped.

Maybe I just adapt slower... but I'm determined to be fat adapted, headache or not.

I think we have different ideas of what is exciting, but good luck, hope you make it to the end, I don't think I can run further than 200 meters.

Neither could I until I got C25k. Yesterdays jog was at 4.7km / h (slow, I know but its a start and haven't jogged for 3 weeks. It killed me tbh). Even my 50 year old mom jogs now :)
And bf and I do it together so its quite encouraging and I'm really starting to enjoy it.

I walk faster than that :D
I walk 4km every morning around 40 minutes

hahah me too :D I personally prefer walking but certain ex-athlete partners won't settle for that....
And the speed is with walking in between haha
I feel like my bum and legs work much harder when I walk but the dr said I need to 'exercise harder'. Not exactly sure what she wants.....
