Weird Bootup

Hey everyone

Installed my graphics card into a friends pc and start up is really slow, the works like "detedting IDE" etc will actually take 5 seconds to appear, 1 character at a time :/ never seen this issue before. Once initial boot is finished PC runs perfectly. Any ideas?

sounds like you need to install the correct graphics driver

drivers are software ,they are yet to be loaded in that stage of the boot sequence

I once had that problem with an MSI motherboard and a nVidia GT210 graphics card...turns out that specific motherboard had a problem with that specific GPU...go figure! And they said since the product is discontinued, they (MSI) won't supply an updated BIOS version to enable compatibility...yikes!

You can also try messing with the BIOS or load optimal setting ect ect
