So I'm getting quite irritated with this situation. Every once in a while, my phone says my network - Cell C - is unavailable and then no calls get through. I then have to manually select Cell C from the available networks to rectify it. I've spoken to Cell C and their response is that it must be the phone. This vexes me.

Other times, I'll get a notification that I have a missed call, but the phone did not ring and it has full signal when this happens. Any ideas?

Is your phone set to 2G?
3G?
or
2G/3G?

Must be set to 2G/3G. Data roaming & national roaming must be enabled

I have the same issue... At work in Braamfontein I roam on Vodacom all day just so that I can have uninterrupted service. If I leave the network on Cellc I get missed calls sms and voice mails all the time...

thought was the only one with this issue, when at the office (sandton) i have no network connection almost all the time, issue is very irritating. firmware version currently is 4.2.1. :(

Enabled the roaming. Let's see if that helps. This is a ridiculous problem to have.

Strangely, I had the same problem on MTN and ported to Cell C, where I never experienced this. It is a crazy world indeed.

I'm on Vodacom with a Galaxy S3 Mini. Have the same issue daily, anywhere in the Western Cape. Extremely frustrating!

Having similar issues with my Galaxy Note 10.1. Have been in regular contact with Vodacom and Samsung and still have to reset the tab or select the network manually or change this or that setting which inevitably is only a temporary solution.
