Weird Windows - Tricks??

Lets see how many of you can figure this out!

Trick # 1
Did you know that nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the computer which can be named as 'CON'.
This is something pretty cool...and unbelievable. ..
At Microsoft the whole Team, couldn't answer why this happened!

TRY IT NOW ,IT WILL NOT CREATE ' CON ' FOLDER

Trick # 2
For those of you using Windows, do the following:

1.) Open an empty notepad file

2.) Type 'Bush hid the facts' (without the quotes)

3.) Save it as whatever you want.

4.) Close it, and re-open it.
is it just a really weird bug? :confused:

Trick # 3
This is something pretty cool and neat...and unbelievable. .. At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened!
Try it out yourself!

Open Microsoft Word and type
=rand (200, 99)
And then press ENTER

Whatever dude. I got so nauseated when I read the first part of your post I felt like this > :sick: I thought there was a beer festival or something and little gnomes were making out with super models.

Oh & FYI - the 1st part - to create a CON folder
Right click and do create folder process. While naming the folder, type CON and type c55 in the numpad holding the alt button.
EX 'CON' + (hold atl + '255').

Trick 1: You can't create a folder named "con" in the same way you can't create a folder named "lpt1" or "nul" or "aux" etc. They're all reserved names. It's like trying to create a folder named "c:"

Trick 2: Related to character encoding (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojibake). In particular, this can be replicated by putting ANYthing into notepad with the following properties:
1) First word -> even number of letters
2) Rest of words -> odd number of letters

Trick 3: rand() is a function for generating "random" text
 
there is a flight simulator in excell 97 or something...IIRC
 
and there are nazi symbols and twin towers in some font created by the devil and sold to Bill Gates when he was in his evil days you can see them if you type out every font in wondows into a wordpad thingy

I've come across this, very interesting :)

Though I believe Microsoft did explain that CON was a protected word or something along those lines. I know there are a few more words that can't be used.
