I'm not classing people ghoti, the Word of God does. And yes, all people are born evil. The fact that you are here, without Christ, makes you an evil sinner and child of Satan. This is strictly within my religion.

I know what your position is, and I don't really begrudge you that view, in all honesty. What I am trying to get across, with tears in my eyes, is that the fact that religious folk sometimes get so damn sensitive about what horrid atheists might say (generally on the internet, at that), yet happily tell them to their faces that they are going to burn in hell for all eternity.

You don't see the enormous double standards at play here? Surely you do?!

I'm not sure what you mean by asking questions and your answers and all that... I don't mind if your answers are 'unpleasant'. I mind when you expect me to censor myself on your behalf, yet don't pay me the same courtesy (not that I'd want, or expect you to).

A bit of fun? Depends what you mean, but when it comes to insulting the deity, it does not sit well with the religious person. That's worse than insulting my parents in my face - you see that as fun, I don't.

To be honest with you I never go out of my way to poke fun at someones fantasy. It makes me no better then them. However don't you think me being an atheist is by far more of a problem then me poking fun at your god?

It just seems so silly that you take offense to someone like me making fun of your god when back at the ranch I don't even acknowledge your god.

Why do you feel it's okay to spread your 'truth', which, if you look at it from a non believer's perspective, is a truly odious thing to tell a person, but when we reply in kind by saying your god is an evil maniac who set up an outrageous and incomprehensible system for us to adhere to, then all of a sudden we are being big meanies who should just shut up?

I don't 'name myself an atheist'. I just happen not to believe in god/s.

Your view point I find rather deplorable, and the fact that you seem to think that you should have the right to spread these notions without any criticisms highlights the outrageous double standards at play here.

I don't go out of my way to mock, honestly, but if I do, just toughen up a little, why don't you? **** sakes, you are happy to tell me I am a sinner who is controlled by the devil and going to hell for all eternity, nothing I say to you could hold a candle to that horror. Your religion doesn't deserve automatic respect, period. This is an outrageously silly notion. Respect is earned, and so far, the history of Christianity, and most other religions has done nothing whatsoever to make me think I should respect them.

On the other hand, I respect your right to practice your religion, and will always fight for your right to do so. I wish this is what you could see, instead of getting all butthurt because I was a bit flippant towards a deity who can no doubt protect themselves from the lashes of my tongue, if they so chose to.
