We're going to kill whites

Most victims of crime in SA are NOT WHITE
If you go by government standards, where the racial representation of businesses etc. has to reflect the racial makeup of the country, then I'm pretty sure that it's dead even (10 non white victims of crime for every 1 white)
I know the logic behind it is pretty retarded but that's the government in a nutshell.

Well then what did they say ?
We love white people. BANG! BANG!

Yeah, Lisa Chait on Cape Talk just spent nearly an hour about how "whiteys can't dance". I mean really ...!?!
Modise used to do the same with impunity.
We need to make a stand.

There are anti white messages everywhere everyday for sure, but how many of them are based on cold hard facts?
Perhaps the problem (or at least part of it) lies in the fact that whenever there is such an incident that appears to go against the white minority, the white people jump on the racial bandwagon without looking for the real truth first, as in this case.

To illustrate, there have been 4 pages of responses to this thread alone whilst the thread that was started with the families denial of what was said has only elicited 1 response. Uncanny.

This is not the only example of the anti-white messages that abound everyday.

There are anti-white messages from the government and general society on a regular basis.

The message is very clear that whites are not welcome in this country.

Where have you been all along!!!

South Africa is for all South African's.

However, if you were an informed individual you would remember that one of mandela's first speeches was about reconciliation and living together as one. The whole TRC process (I know it did not achieve as much success as it could have) was meant to be a sort of "let's bury the hatchet and move on". He hired Zelda la grange his PA as a show of the new South Africa.

Mbeki constantly meets with Afrikaner interest groups (and constantly acknowledges that chane will be difficult for afrikaners - 2000 address to chamber of mines as an example), but never meets with Zulu (whose minor sections feel marginalised), sotho, tswana, venda etc

It is clear that both leaders have tried to offer an olive branch which has been accepted by most, but, declined by some.

Please do not post anything about crime against whites as asign that they are unwanted as my previous posts will highlight that crime is not an exclusive white problem.

Thank you electra for agreeing with me. I personally believe that for this country to go forward we have to ignore to reactionaries on both sides and find solutions as black and white, for problems that are besieging us.

My two neighbours on either side are afrikaners. They have vastly different approaches to life in general. One is a staunch racist who raised his wall when i moved in, teased my dogs and some of my black friends, frowned at my white friends etc whilst the other is a nice family man who welcomed us and allows his children to greet and interact with us.

What we did as a response to the crime problem was to form a pact which involved exchanging numbers, looking after each others house when on holiday etc. We both realised that there was a problem and we have to stand together and fight it.

Surprise, surprise, after seeing our interaction and maybe the fact that I did not do anything to unsettle them such as loud parties, domestic squables, unkempt garden, the racist mullet guy two weeks back offered to take away my rubbish (municipality on strike). It was a course for celebration at my house for sure. I still feel good when I think about that gesture.

The moral is that there are racist people there (let's not be on denial)and its true the government is not doing everything as it should, but instead of moaning and apportioning blame lets all try to do something about crime etc and may be, may be we might make some new friends out there. You never know!!!!!!!!!!

I guess if you cannot do something but moan, the running option is still open for some!!!!

But yet so many whites love kissing ANC butt. What a joke.

Bwahaha yeah sure it is And Santa is real.

You are living in a dream world. What has Mbeki or any black politician done for white South africans besides stopping a war in 1994 and then again maybe we needed one.

It is clear that both leaders have tried to offer an olive branch which has been accepted by most, but, declined by some.
Olive branch or Thorn bush ?

Yes now why didnt I think of that? Maybe it will stop cash in transit robberies too ? Crime needs a fire on fire approach. Gvt needs this crime for whatever benefit they get.

I guess if you cannot do something but moan, the running option is still open for some!!!!
Sorry but we have every right to be here just like you.

You will look long and hard to find anyone that preaches peace under those circumstances

Heres a flier, the economy is booming and I can read and watch pretty much whatever I want to without fear of persecution.
As for stopping a war, that was very much a joint effort, which would not have been possible though without a man like Mandela, who's humility, self sacrifice and compassion for fellow man goes way beyond words.
Olive branch or Thorn bush ?
Olive branch, just in case, O L I V E B R A N C H!

Yes now why didnt I think of that?
Hmmm, let me leave this one alone :)

Agree that crime deserves loads more attention and direct response from the government, however, what Rooineck is eluding to, which seems to have gone way over the top of your head, is that if we all pull together like he describes, we can contribute to the fight against crime. It all makes a difference.

Sorry but we have every right to be here just like you.
Correct, as anyone has every right to call 'BS' 'BS' when it is presented here.

Again you have totally missed my point:p .
The problem being that you do not want to think beyond your flawed perceptions. But I won't give up. One day you will be offering to take out my rubbish!!!!!!!!!!

In what I hope are clear terms:

Every South African has a right to be here, this message has been passed on by the past ANC leaders.
We have a crime problem that affects everybody (white and black).
I agree that government is not doing enough.
Instead of continually moaning, and apportioning blame, lets put our hands together and come-up with solutions (regardless of race). However, those who do not want to be part of the solution can emigrate, I see no problem in that.

@ Rooinek

There is a massive amount of discrimination against whites in this country both in terms of the current legislature, forthcoming legislature and in terms of media reporting.

You only need to look at the number of whites leaving the country, the number of people on predominantly white forums that are strongly considering leaving the country and then the number of whites that have already left.

The underlying truth is that these people do not feel welcome in the country. Why is that? Are these people all irrational? Of course not. There is clearly a message coming from government which reinforces the prevailing sentiment towards one particular race group - that sentiment is "Whities, get out! You are not welcome!".

Oh by the way did you hear about the FNB scandal ??
Olive branch, just in case, O L I V E B R A N C H!
No olive branch to his people - thorn bush to everyone else.

When a "whiytey" tries that we are called racists or whatever other slang term that they use. Look what happened with Ridi Direko on 702 - she was called a number of racist terms for saying gvt needs to act and she is black. !!

back at you mate, back at you :D

What you and the white anc lapdogs fail to see is that maybe on paper we have a right to be here. In reality (and maybe thats where you should go) its a different story. BEE and AA are just two examples. Dont get me wrong, I dont blame the ANC for this as if it were me, I would have done the same. I understand their mentality in designing and implementing these policies. However it does not mean I have to be blind as to what their msater plan is.

You are kidding about that being positive? When the land grabs start in SA (have they not started in cape town? Not sure about whats going on in Hout Bay) do you honestly think they are oing to continue to come and invest here ? If you believe that then....

I am sure that if my old house keeper, who has been raped, is HIV positive and has had her shack robbed about 5 times had R40 000 in the bank and a passport, she would also be leaving the country.
