These things are on the wall in my building, but Telkom says I am not yet enabled for fibre "Future Fibre" only.

Suggestions on making fire underneath their butts ?

You are one step closer to getting fibre connections.

The next step is up to the owners of the building ---- they have to now sign up a deal with a service provider or provide their own fibre distribution within the building .....

At least the job looks like it has been done properly.

So come on, play fair!

BTW 2 x 24 fibre cables, means there is plenty of fibre available, for competition between ISPs!

Is this not openserv though? what deal must be signed? Thought they did all the terminations in building.

Not by default. There is now open competition. Openserve would go as far as the agreed to demarcation point. After that it is entirely in the hands of the building owner and /or whomever shows up offering FTTH ISP services.

Seriously...i thought openserv pulled in and you could just use any ISP on thier FTTH..so now there are agreements and ISP's which have to be involved ?

You can contact Telkom ISP and/or Openserve and ask them when they will be able to provide you with a connection.

Or, you can go to any of the other ISPs offering fibre service packages.

The point I am making is you are in a building, which means there may already be some or other deal in the making between the owner and an ISP.
