I am currently connected via a Uninet Access 128 (128kbps, uncapped) account for R400 p.m.
Given the new Neotel offerings, and since the Uninet shaping is rather draconian, I asked Uninet if they were planning any new product launches. This was the response:
Since Neotel is offering an unshaped product with a 10GB cap for R699, why would one choose a 9GB cap for R1100??
Am I missing something? Does anyone think these sound like promising offerings?

There will be new packages implemented as of the 1st of February 2009. I
have two options you may choose from:
1 - Uncapped Shaped 256k line for R 800.00 with a contention of 1:10
- Uncapped Shaped 512k line for R 1 600.00 with a contention of 1:10 (the
amount of people the bandwidth is shared between), currently our contention
ratio is 1:20.
2 - Capped Unshaped Packages:
1Mbps , 500MB for R 200.00 p/m
1Mbps, 1GBfor R 300.00 p/m
1Mbps, 3GB for R 500.00 p/m
1Mbps, 5GB for R 700.00 p/m
1Mbps , 7GB for R 900.00 p/m
1Mbps , 9GB for R 1 100.00 p/m
1Mbps, 15GB for R1 600.00 p/m
2Mbps , Per Meg at R 0.19c
All capped solutions are on a 1Meg line.
