I see them everywhere, at night, on pavements, offending pedestrians. Then, they are on the streets, pestering motorists. They are on the boardwalk meant for pedestrians down at the Waterfront. Hardly ever do they make themselves visible.

Abreast. Abreast. Abreast. They have a fixation with a breast!

Where you WON'T see them, is on the specially demarcated cycle lanes that are well lit at night and safe to use. Either this motherly love is not appreciated or these cyclists are superstitious.

Who knows.....maybe the Tikoloshe is lying in ambush........???

Dr Phil, please get into the minds of these riders of bipolar contraptions, hack into their inner beings and see where in their early childhood did a sangoma scare them on their trikes in the back yard?

Or is there a DIFFEREMT reason why these people cycle like this in the Mother City?

I see Clarkson is in pooh again over his slope on the bridge. I didnt even know slope is a derogatory term; for goodness sake.

Ja, I have nothing against cycling itself, just some idiot cyclist. This four cyclist here in my town, every morning I get them on the narrowest and busiest road riding two, two next to each other.
Can't pass them, there is too much on coming traffic.

Amatuer cyclist myself in JHB. Usually ride solo. I find that group rides tend to be more abrasive towards other motorists. There's this one group that I sometimes come across in Melrose Arch that really don't give a f***. Robots, pavements etc don't exist. Moving to cpt soon so looking forward to actually having a lane, yay.

I know the episode aired ages ago... however I saw an article that he is on a Final warning from the BBC after a review regarding all the racist remarks.

Clarkson is on a permanent final warning from the BBC..

They can't get rid of him, it will destroy Top Gear which is more than likely their most profitable show.

Why don't they stop at robots.

I make the same right turn on beyers every day, there is a turning arrow. Cyclists drive right though the red robot and it is somehow my fault. I have to suddenly swerve.

Low brows

You will find that Cape Town is light years ahead with the traffic thing. All cars are fitted with radar, sonar, echo sounders, psychic powers and each has a personal army of guardian angels. This obviates the need of headlights even at night in thick fog. Or it could be part of playing the Flying Dutchman game. Exhilirating when a car or a bike shifts past in total darkness. Or are they trying to hide from NSA and other snoopers?

They drive cars in the same way they ride their bikes. All part of a bigger psyche, a guessing game. The thing is that they appear into the obvious world when and where least expected.

Surprise!

It's a smoke screen. All the footage is edited before being aired. So it's approved by the BBC before it goes on air ;)
