I'm curious to know what you use your ipad for? :)

I'm getting one and plan to use it for blogging, gaming and watching all of my tv shows, movies and anime -- I'm 19 years old, so yeah :p

Maybe I'll find a way to fully utilize this ipad :D

Control my servers via Terminal

Eventually I want to get one of those home automation recievers so I can control my entire house from it :D

Flipboard is awesome too, convert your social network feeds and other interests into a magazine like feel.

-taking notes
-tech doc reviews & annotation
-reading
-internet
-gaming
-easy access to specifications & ref docs
-email of course
-social networking

so instead of carrying around books and papers I carry my ipad and a stylus pen. no worrying about losing the notes I make in the course of my work

That's the new Google feed reader isn't it? Must give it a try.

Content aggregator just like flipboard. Google's one is called currents which is also very good.

Evernote?

I use it to read magazines at work, then as soon as I get home I put it on the table & start youtubing while I have supper.
It's actually more useful than you think...
Get an app called stream to me & you can watch series & movies in bed, without copying the movies to the iPad, it just streams
over wifi from your pc or Mac.
Then, if you get an apple TV, you can play games on the big screen via AirPlay.

Once you jailbreak it, you can download torrents with iTransmission.
Get widgets and themes for it.

It's awesome, get one!!!

Well, since you asked:

  • Messages for iMessage chats with friends.
  • Calendar, Notes & Reminders for, well, that should be obvious.
  • News24 for a quick overview of local news (not the best, but...)
  • Facebook, about once a day.
  • Alien Blue for Reddit.
  • iBooks for books & magazines.
  • WordPress, for the occassional blog post.
  • iA Writer, Catch, Writing Kit, Writers App and Drafts - for writing and recording of ideas, etc. Yes, 5 different apps, but each one suits a specific need for me.
  • Instapaper for saving articles to read later.
  • The Atlantic, Longform, Zite and Newsify for news and RSS.
  • Downcast for video podcasts.
  • Tapatalk for various forums.

Obviously I also browse the Internet and read/respond to e-mail. I also have several travel related apps for holiday planning, etc. and a few photo editing apps (I don't take photo's using my iPad, but I sometimes edit them on the iPad. GPlayer is good for watching movies and TV shows, though VLC Player might be returning to the App store soon.
