Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy a decent gaming mouse but not sure what is out there and what is good....I dont really want to have to sell a kidney for one so i am looking for something mid range yet decent....I was thinking of a budget around R500.

Cheers

Grim

Been using the MX Revolution for quite some time, best mouse I've ever had.

Might cost a bit more than R500, but well worth it imo.

Lots of people are after Razers, I owned a Cooperhead and found the quality is not as good as I though.
Single left click became double click just after weeks of purchase and after I had a look on the internet it seems like a very common problem with it.
I bought a Microsoft Sidewinder at the end.

Moral of story: 'Google the mouse before you buy it'.

I'm not a pro gamer, but got a 10 button Genius Netscroll + for about R120 and been using it for 4 years with no hassles.

I have owned a Logitech MX518 and Logitech G7, a Razer krait and a Razer Deathadder. The 2 razers are definitly quality than the 2 Logitech. not that the Logitech's were bad, they are all good mice. I just hated the fact that my G7 was replaced 3 times under warranty in 2 years.

The copperhead was a bit of a weird mouse, most people don't like it. The same can be said for the Lachesis.

If you want a "normal" gaming mouse go for the Diamondback 3G or the Deathadder. The Deathadder is O so nice.

Cyber Snipa mouse seems to be quite good and accurate, I think Intelliscope goes for R250. Other models are also kwl.

Got me trusty Gigabyte mouse ............ and still beat the 'fancy' boys with their $$$ Razers and whatever in shooters :D

hahahahah, My friend uses a Esquire mouse, I think its R29.95 and he beats everyone in COD4 ehehe

Amen brother :D IMO the only time you should look at getting an expensive mouse, is if you are a pro gamer ....... otherwise, just find whatever is comfortable to you, no matter the price ;)

Yea man to true. Im loving my Microsoft Comfort 1000 so leetzor
Even I can give the pros a run hmmm actually that really depends on the game.

My next mouse is the Cyber Snipa Intelliscope. For R300 you cant go wrong, 2400DPi Lazer engine, switchable and the insanest LEds ive ever seen.
Theres no ways im going to pay over R500 for a mouse, but If I did id get the Microsoft Habu soooo sexy ehehe

I'm using a Razer Copperhead, ergonomics took a bit of getting used too, but loving it now. No problems with the buttons, like I had with my previous Logitech.

Just went to the shops to check out what they had, only 'gaming' mouse i could find was the logitech G3 laser....Didnt really grab me though.....That Cyber Snipa Intelliscope looks pretty neat, especially given the price...where can i get one of those for a good deal?

I bought the Microsoft gaming mouse had an MX before but that cyber snipa does look good... I wonder If I made the right choice.

looking for something better

I bought myself a esquire Laser usb mouse about a year back for around R100incl vat and no problems with it , in fact I bought 2 pieces and still have a brand new one in my cupboard , the genius navigator P535 and logitec G5 Laser mouse gave up after three weeks apart of each other , but I must admit that I do have a heavy hand especially when it comes to xtreme gaming with my buddies, that is why I am looking for something better and saw the Zykon Gameware range www.zykon.com ,any suggestions would a great help.:)

Ive been doing some research on what a good buy would with more or less the same budget ... My suggestion would be the cyber snipa intelliscope for around 300. It seems to be a good buy whether you prefer high or low sensitivity. Have heard a lot of mixed opinions about the razer series but in the end more good than bad, so there you would have to make up your own mind. Check out this article, it might help put things in perspective :link

Don't be fooled dude! These guys are trying to put you off, it;s a conspiracy! Go and get yrself a G5, and you're sorted :)

In my own defense :p, I myself am using a G5 and have had only good times with it!! No problems except for getting one at under 600... I was looking because my brother is interested in a new mouse, but if you can get hold of the G5 at a price you are willing to pay then buy it!
